So many new books are out to try and reveal their interpretation of this mythical code yet no one has found the actual code... or have they?

There is an author called Wayne Herschel in South Africa who claims he has found the code and it has blown my mind!!!

It is already on TV (titled The Hidden Records) and in the papers here in South Africa.

You are going to have to search on the web for this evidence because this forum will not allow posting of websites, but let me reassure you it is easy to find and it is going to blow your mind when you find out that it involves a lost civilization not only from Atlantis... but from a lost civilization on Mars.

Many of you continue to seek truth but as usual it's in the wrong place! The Bible was in fact written in a code or should I say parrables and illustrations. This was for a reason. Please take a moment to visit our website at www.truebiblecode.com... for the fundamentals of this code and our proofs of its authenticity.

I thought this may be of interest to some of you:

Source - books.guardian.co.uk...

The first "official Angels and Demons tour", organised by a group of 30-something Romans specialising in the "darker side of Rome", will tomorrow show visitors the Roman sites used by the author of The Da Vinci Code.

Since The Da Vinci Code became a global success, with more than 8m copies sold, the author's previous novels have become bestsellers too. Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress, and Deception Point were all in the top five UK paperback fiction list in the run-up to Christmas.

"We have noticed in the past few months that lots of tourists, mainly American and British, have started coming to Rome just to see the sites in Angels and Demons," said Simone Gozzi, head of the Dark Heart of Rome association. "Dan Brown certainly moves the masses."

I'm reading the book right now

But there is a lot of truth and searching in it...it's like a novel based on true facts (exept for some real fiction like the grail...)
I don't understand why christians (really into their religion) say it's against them! Why christian religion can never be discussed in another way without offensing them?????
It's a really really great novel and I really enjoy it! I'm glad the author talks about secret societies, maybe some people will search about that and become conspiracies searchers like US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehehehehehe
Good job!

In yesterday's (Sunday) Ottawa Citizen newspaper there was a full two page story on The Da Vinci Code.

From the following caption I'm sure you can figure out the writer's opinion.

The Da Vinci Crock
A fascinating conspiracy about Jesus transformed the 'cheesy thriller,' The Da Vinci Code, into a phenomenal bestseller. Too bad, says book critic Laura Miller, it comes from Holy Blood, Holy Grail, a 'masterpiece of bogus history'

Here is a link to the piece...

Watched the special the history did on the Da Vinci code. The basic conclusion, spoilers included in the show, was that the Da Vinci code is 100% bunk with enough real places thrown in that some people will think "hey maybe this is true..." when its all basically crap. An entertaining read, but bunk when it comes to history.

I've read the Da Vinci Code and enjoyed it tremendously, not so much as an adventure story but as a compilation of myth, legend and history. In a way it seemed to be like a focussed 'Golden Bough'.

The characters involved in the adventure seemed secondary to the purpose of writing the book. They were flat and had no well rounded personalities, even in the most dire moments of the tale, they left me emotionless to their plight.

And yet, when another clue turned up in the form of some revelation, it was that which kept my attention, mostly because it came from things I'd studied before, in various books.

I think Dan Brown wrote this book with the intention of bringing forth as much of the questions surrounding Christianity as he could, using hordes of shady conspiritical groups to bring tension into the mix.

I think he was hugely successful and know this book will continue to lead the charts for months to come.

If he had written a dry study on the same subject, he would never have gotten it published.

His excercise proves to me once again that myth has more power than reality...the characters in the Da Vinci Code, even though they were secondary to the story, still were able, through their adventure, to bring dry theology into the minds of millions who would otherwise have not cared.

Kudos for Dan Brown...but I'll never buy another of his books.

I advise anyone who has read the book, or is intrested in the topic to get their hands on a docementry called "da vinci code decoded" which interviews authoers of books related to the topic, explaining their views on the topic and how all the facts can be understood. Its a great documentry which does explain alot of the facts, rather than the fast pace plot of the da vinci code.

Well what did you think of the program? I think it did quite a good job analyzing and discounting each point that Dan Brown draws on in his book. No Priory of Sion, no Knights Templar connection, No real evidence of the Grail being at Roslyn Chapel and no concrete evidence of a connection with the Cathars.
But, and this is a big but, it is just possible and not beyond the realms of imagination that there was more to Marys relationship with Jesus than we were first lead to believe in the new testament.
I had no idea that there were suppressed Gospels and that Mary in fact had her own Gospel that showed she was central to the early Christian Church, Fascinating.
Did she have a relationship with Jesus that went beyond here being just another follower of Jesus? Its possible, but sadly there is no proof of any of it. Ahh well, The Davinci Code is complete fiction after all.

I brought the book today and i cannot put it down,
try Angels and Demons, its pretty much pure fiction and seems
to move alot faster. Deception point was pretty good, but I wasnt thrilled with
Digital Fortress.

Well the suppression of the gnostic gospels is not fiction. Read up on that and you will have a better understanding of what Christianity was before the orthodox church raped it. It is very fascinating indeed.
