Just a wild guess but the first thing that comes to mind is many ROCKETS raining down on the olympics as well as border towns, most of em missing their targets. A quantity of nearly a hundred of these home made rockets will be the method of attack. Simultaneously, small random attacks throughout the world.

Second thing that comes to mind is an attack on a canadian city that is holding some sort of important public event.

My intuition is usually flawed at best but these are what come to mind.
