I used to play a lot of blackjack. You always split Aces and Eights.

Here's some math for you based on that.

One 8-8-8, just remember that the 24 hour day is also split into hours of 8-8-8. So, on that day, bet big in life 3 times, midnight - 8am, 8am - 4pm, 4pm - midnight. I think it heralds a helluva good day, from my perspective.

There is always someone freaking out over a date that won't be seen again in ages. The dates come and pass like every other day.

On a lighter note, on 08-08-08 we will be having an 80's party. How's that for symbolism? While some of you are hiding in your closet waiting for the world to explode, myself and a bunch of 30-40 year olds will be reminiscing about our youth. throw in some adult beverages and Rockband and 08-08-08 should be a good time.
