I was thinking that maybe crop circles are made by leprechauns.
They have magical powers.
They should have a pot of gold in the center.

I would say it is probably pot that is at the center of a lot of people making these circles....And for a lot of people believing it, too!

I think I have actually been able to tell man made from non.

The non are very accurate, very symmetrical without mistakes.

Men made I can usually find something wrong with.

Man made or not, I find them all fascinating and beautiful.

Population has nothing to do with it. I live among a bunch of wheat fields and among those wheat fields are a bunch of subdivisions.

Yet, to my chagrine, no crop circles.

In fact, since the midwest of the US is the breadbasket, with massive wheat fields and amber waves of grain, are there not more crop circles?

why does the UK have all the fun?

I wonder what it is about that area....

a VERY good point

here [ the UK ] a 500 acre stand of crops is considered HUGE

i must admit ignorance as to US farm practice and feild sizes - but in canada i visited 2000 acre " feilds " that could be harvested with one combine in a single operation and the were considered ` small `

the logistics of north american agriculture are huge - crop circle proponents in the UK cite 50m diameter " circles " as ` big ` in canada - you could create a crop glyp 1000m across in a small feild

so where are they ?
