Wow, an intelligent Baldwin? Way to tell 'em Stephen.

It's good to see some smart A-list Actors out there

Obama has so much experience and knows what's best for you. One thing you can say about Obama, he definitely doesn't pandar in the most rediculous ways of any known Canidate to date.

How could Sly not be?

Rambo IV tells it like it is. You can give all the attention and aid to a place like Burma and their militia will use it for their own purposes and the people never see it.

Case in point:

Obama wants to solve world poverty with your money. Your money will just end up going to militias like the one in Burma and elsewhere. They will use the aid only for themselves or as a bargaining chip for more leverage.

What a great way to get more poeple contributing and believing in the system. I bet he's on Bush's team. Its already said about Mcain, and Hillary..why not Obama as well? What a grand illusion of change.
I thought Bill clinton did alot for the minorities didnt he?
I cant blame the whites for hoping for the chance of a real change,
but when you get these arrogant blacks all on the high horse voting for spite...I cant say I even see Obama as a black person. Just more false representation in my eyes.

**Sorry to not have anything to add to the subject title, I have only responded with a smear-like comment on one other thread. definately somthing spooky about electing anyone for that matter**

OMG please help me. While you are at it you can include Britney Spears and Paris Hilton to the GOP brain trust of celebrity endorsements. I think Britney was actually invited to perform at the Republican National Convention before the press got a hold of it and had a field day.

The endorsement of Sylvester Stallone swayed you?

You don't pay attention to facts, but a celebrity endorsement does it for you?

Oh yes Jetxnet Obama plans on giving our tax dollars to dictators.LOL

If you are curious as to where your tax dollars are going...

The war in Iraq is costing the american taxpayer...
$4.5 billion a month on the conflict in Iraq, or about $100,000 per minute!

A BILION DOLLARS A WEEK!
Those are Defense Department numbers by the way!

[edit: current estimates from non government sources range much higher]

This is the war that McCain wants to continue indefinetly...A BILLION TAX PAYER DOLLARS A WEEK with large chunks of it going to companies like Haliburton! You know Haliburton? Dick Cheney still gets paid by them. No joke.

And you want to say crazy sh*& with no basis in reality about Obama giving money to Burma dictators? What is wrong with you?

If Sly supports him he must be great...

Let me tell you what this is: A desperate attempt to direct people to obama's 'official' website, with his 'official' seal, for his 'official' agenda for change so that people could be listed as potential helpers... contributors to change. Knowledge of the path of change will tell you that there is no particular leader in the endeavor. Get a grip... the guy is an ultra-fake dream.. take it or leave it.

i certainly hope that you are not implying that i have some agenda to direct them to his website. whether a person chooses to go or not is none of my concern. although, i think those who are choosing to vote for him definately should go and check out each and every issue and weigh them against what this country's principles werer founded upon.

to me, that is the problem.... not enough studying of the facts and more buying into all the hype they are giving out.

not really sure what the issue is w/ his symbol, but to each his own. i am only concerned w/ ppl waking up and realizing the difference btw "what sounds good" and "what is ACTUALLY good" as far as the country and each of its citizens are concerned.

FOR THE RECORD: I vote neither mccain or obama and that is based on the issues they represent and not so much on what they have done in congress (which really isn't much in either case)

Why do people think Obama will 'change' things for the better?
Everything he supports will either raise taxes, increase government spending or increase government regulation. Hooray, I can't wait to be suffocated.

What about bringing our troops home? I would say that would be my main concern at the moment.
Or health care for working Americans? ALL WORKING AMERICANS.
What about trying to mend our status in the world.....?

Increase government spending...HA! Why are we throwing BILLIONS dollars in to bombs, when that is money sorely needed at home?

You can't wait to suffocate because you are so used to having your head in your @$$!

The troops will come home when the job is completed. Anything other than that is a mistake for numerous reasons.

Or health care for working Americans? ALL WORKING AMERICANS.

Sorry, but universal healthcare is not in the Constitution and you should be ashamed to want it. What gives you the right to take my hard earned money and to use it for the healthcare of others?

What about trying to mend our status in the world.....?

Perhaps you care what others think about you, but I don't.

Wow, that is so smart! You must be the most intelligent person in the world. Did it take you all night to think of that lame comment?

The amount of bills that somebody drafts is not necessarily an indication that they are good at the job, or good for the taxpayers who have elected them. You would have to investigate each bill that he drafted for it's individual content. That goes for McCain as well as Obama.

I'm not slamming Obama, I'm just trying to point out the level of desperation being exhibited by people who want some kind of change, any kind of change, without first doing a little research on their candidate.

I think the vast majority of the thread dialogues here contradict the idea that Obama supporters do not do research as opposed to Obama detractors…example: Obama is a Muslim? Was sworn into office on the Koran? Seriously you want to make that case? Obama detractors are precisely depending on the common US citizen to not do research.

Take for example his "Typical White Person" comment concerning his own Grandmother. There's only a few ways a rational and intelligent person can interpret that statement. It's a racist stereotype no matter how you choose to look at it. Surely, you won't deny that.. Replace the word "White" with "Black", and tell me how it comes across to you..

It can be surprising to see someone as articulate as Obama miss speak. But it happened here and it will happen again. He would have served his point better if he had said “a typical person, who is white” which is what he meant to convey. A “typical person” who is prone to fear those people that are different. His full quote for context… Really do we want to spend time nit picking when people choose words poorly? Have you seen some of McCain’s errors while speaking? Confusing entire countries?

"... .. The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know there's a reaction that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it..." - Senator Barack Obama

This is an effort to confront racism not embrace it.

Barack Obama ..
Only the 5th Black Senator elected in the entire history of the United States. You have to seriously impress to overcome those odds.
Not really.. He's not the first black man to ever overcome the racial boundaries in our society.

“Not really”…wow! When was the last time you were a black man running for US Senator? Not that tough huh? 

He has a very long list of community service.
Which community might that be?

One example…
www.usnews.com...

“Jerry Kellman, a social activist who recruited Obama, recalls, "He was very bright, very articulate, very personable, and very idealistic," inspired by civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.'s philosophy of nonviolence. Kellman offered Obama a job at the annual salary of $10,000, and he threw in $2,000 so Obama could buy a ramshackle car to get around.”
How many politicians have started with community service on the ground like this?

Look at the links, Lloyd. I'm sorry. I assumed you would read the posts and look at the reference material. Click on the links.

That type of incessant rambling gives me a headache.

Perhaps reading glasses are in order? There are plenty of accomplishments listed there, but you may have to read through a few... words. I don't have a bulleted list on me, if that's what you require... And if you REALLY wanted to know his accomplishments, you would mind reading the words that surround them. Here, let me provide some assistance. From my3rd link (formatted for easier reading):

  • The Lugar-Obama bill
  • Coburn-Obama Transparency Act
  • ethics/lobbying reform bill
  • Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007
  • cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act, S-2611
  • health insurance for an additional 20,000 Illinois children
  • death penalty reform

This list goes on.

And here is a paragraph (hope it's not too confusing)

He is on the senate committees for foreign relations; homeland security; veterans affairs; health, education, labor and pensions. He studied political science with an emphasis on international relations and Columbia. And he's gone on three major trips overseas as part of an official Senate delegation, meeting with U.S. generals, and/or foreign leaders.

Feel free to vote for "Change" (whatever that's supposed to be)

Thank you. I will. I'm sorry you don't know what it means. Have you tried the dictionary?

And I'll also be voting for the man and his accomplishments, of which I am well aware as I have READ about them.
It isn't really that hard to do.

lmfao and all of those you copied and pasted from website's.

my point...ask em any question ... i am at my pc with internet...i will find you a suitable answer.

and that good obama cultist is what you have just done. lol copy and paste GOOGLE style lol

""see i know about obama now!!!!! " lol

in other word's 80% are voting for obama because they don't want to be racist.
Or they are of black decent and flat say..im voting for him cause he is black.

other 10 % voting because the know he is Muslim...and want a Muslim brother..in office

and 95% got no idea how long he was even a senator probably.

Point is America is going to go down the crapper.
people have no sense at all when they vote.

VOTE FOR A MAN THAT HAS HELPED YOUR COUNTRIES FOR YEAR'S AND YEAR'S..with a proven record...
not the first black man that run's for president...
heck id vote for Collin Powell...at least he has done more than obama has.

You post "sources" so people dont just think you're talking out of your ass.
i realize they havent taught this concept yet in High School english class.

But you'll get there.

When someone posts "news" articles, they provide an over view

see, the motto is "deny ignorance"

if you cannot give outside opinions to support your own - well you see where im going with this.....

:shk:

i have pity for you.

also - you should get yourself well-versed in the T&C for ATS

excessive quoting is strictly forbidden, and as your use of the 'quote' button is clearly for no reason at all, you're just taking up vertical space on my screen.

I was being flippant, but I do have a lot of respect for Sylvester Stallone.

He's a very intelligent man and quite charismatic as well. If he ran for office, I'd vote for him in all seriousness. He's not full of crap like Obama and McCain.

I think the two videos say it all..

Obama didn't mispeak, he said exactly what he thought about White people. He honestly believes the typical White person is fearful of black people..

This is an effort to confront racism not embrace it.
Obama, his wife, and his former church are all more or less closet racists. Do you need more videos or few quotes from his book or his wife's thesis?

“Not really”…wow! When was the last time you were a black man running for US Senator? Not that tough huh?
I never have been, and I have no desire to be a lying, two-faced politician.

Well let start by saying this......
If you do what you have ALWAYS done...You WILL GET what you have always gotten.....

I am saying this....Every president we have put in office all have two things in common with each other...1: They ALL have been white...Right? And they all have been Democratic or Republican..Right? Well This gut is a dog and pony show...for all you Democratic and Republican sheeple...But the one thing this guy DOES NOT have in common with the others is his skin color....Now take it for what it is...I say "what ever"..things are not going to change just because he's black doesn't mean he isn't for big government. So yea lets vote him in....That way all you morons who insist he will bring change will be eating your words at the end of his first term.
My point was it doesn't matter who is put into office it's all political smoke screens and anyone who thinks other wise....well you people will be the first ones who jump in line to recieve your "Real National I.D." and will be the same people who ran and crawled under the protection of the Bush administration when they passed the PAT:I Act. after 911. Its a cycle that the political powers have put on to get people to not think about the economic spikes this goevernment has been doing for the last 40 years to find out at what point our society would start to cut back on fuel/consumtion cost. Or to keep everyone from thinking about national health care when going to get a "F"in X-ray cost $500.00 for a digital image that cost about $1.75 in electric cost to operate....Do you see the picture here?
Thats what I'm saying....Your change will NOT come in the form of a black man or a white man nor democrat or republican..But from the people who live in the houses next to you..the people who can't think about politics because they have to work and extra 15 hrs over time to pay for fuel cost..Or the people who are putting second mort. out on houses to send their children to college. When they get tired of the B.S. they will change the country.

you are right, sir. GAWD! i wish ppl understood the power they have to change things and would quit relying on the politicians w/ their fancy suits and plastic smiles. yes, what you said was very very true. and i don't doubt one of these two will be the ones who win.

i have said this time and time and time again. my concience will be clear and you can't buy that w/ any amount of $$

I agree with you that nothing is going to change no matter which of the two win. Whoever wins the Congress will still dictate the President's agenda and we will only be in the same or worse case. However, i disagree with you that the people will get tired of the BS. People just don't seem to care and we are becoming a nation of dependents. Seems to me that a lot of people are expecting the Government to take care of them rather than the people taking care of themselves. That is the reason the Government is so eager to get into every aspect of our life and use BS excuses to validate those reasons. Fear is the government's greatest power. They use fear to control us.

Forgot to add this link
www.factcheck.org... Seems like an independent site, you be the judge. Points out misleading issues from both candidates.
