With the recent Supreme Court ruling upholding the 2nd Ammendment, the NRA is boldly going after cities with unconstitutional gun laws!

A day after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Americans have a constitutional right to possess guns for self-defense, the National Rifle Association sued San Francisco and its Housing Authority for banning firearms in the authority's public housing.

The NRA filed in federal court Friday on behalf of an unidentified gay man living in Valencia Gardens Housing in the Mission District, who said he keeps a gun in his home for protection against hate crimes even though his Housing Authority lease forbids possession of guns and other weapons.

Mayor Gavin Newsom struck a defiant note in a news conference at which, flanked by a cadre of federal, state and local law enforcement leaders, he announced a series of new anti-gun initiatives.

"To the NRA, we just say, 'Stay away. ... Let us protect our citizens,' " Newsom said.

Typical liberal Barbara Streisand...Depend on the government to protect you, but don't you dare take care of yourself. Isn't that just the epitomy of liberalism?

What did George Carlin once say? Something about "Big Daddy White Government" taking care of everyone?

And people say the Republicans are trying to restrict the people.

Gavin Newsom, I hate to tell you this, but your 'protective' gun ban law may very well be (and probably is) illegal according to the United States Supreme Court. If that's the case, the NRA and any other pro-rights group is certainly justified in attacking that 'law'.

Of course, I'm not at all surprised. I fully expect that, by the time all is said and done, many of these cities will find some way to just do whatever the hell they want, regardless of what the US Supreme Court and the Constitution actually say.

Anyone actually surprised by what this fruitcake has to say in terms of people protecting himself?

He is a collectivist and thinks big government is the answer to everything.

He is a prime example of why California is called the land of fruits and nuts.

Here's the link.

It's clear that San Francisco doesn't want to be a part of America.

We probably can't force them to secede, but Americans could forget that San Francisco is a tourist site.

We could stop doing business with companies based there.

We could petition the government to cease all federal funding to the city.

Americans, if we all got on board, could make San Francisco a ghost town.

One thing's for sure, the NRA is coming to town and unconstitutional laws will be in their sights.

Newsom is, quite frankly, an idiot.

He and all other violators of freedom, desecrators of the Constitution and big state collectivists have been left without ammo (if you'll excuse the pun).

A speech such as he made is a direct and flagrant attempt to flout the ruling of the Supreme Court, which by extension is a flouting of the Constitution.

In that sense, Newsom's words are only a few inches short of secession.

I agree that we should be able to have guns, but to say that the liberals are worse than the republicans because there trying to take are guns is insane. As soon as another "Terrorist Attack" happens, we will be under martial law and there gonna come door to door and take our guns anyway and anyone who resists will either be killed or branded a terrorist and thrown in prison camps. Keep drinking your fluoride, sheeple....
