Bush may have slightly blurred the lines but even he couldn't pass what you are proposing in a predominately Christian country.

As someone pointed out earlier, he'd have to seriously stack the deck with those in the position to pass such laws with Muslim extremists. He can't just unilaterally scrap every law, every right, and just create his own. That is absurd.

The President is consolidating more power with each successive Presidency. As the US is forced forward into Socialism, it becomes ripe for Marxism. Marxism is the model of government that creates Dictators the most easily, as this government model is easier to manipulate and gain control than with Capitalism. It is because Capitalism creates competition. Marxism supresses competition so that choices are limited.
