PJ, I know English isn't your first language, and you do very well considering, but you made a spelling error in your last post. You forgot to put the "in" in front of famous.

Psst...it was meant to be a joke...

She meant to suggest that the term "famous" be converted to "infamous"...

PJ do you want to tell me how many light-years away Titan is or do I have to Google it?

That is the one of the most horrible questions i have heard off. Try that in AU. That will fit. In terms of light years, you will get a very very small decimal value.

Titan, if I may interject, can be measured in human years as well...

Because you questioned the age of the closest supernova...

AU will be fine, in terms of human years, it may vary due to the speed of the space craft. Light moves in constant speed. So, it is used as reference, but human speed and time taken cannot be taken on such a large scale.

Yes. Now I remember why I put you on my sharp friends list.

I just got a u2u from someone who is following our debate, and they are not a fighter!
Caught me up short to really realize that the general public (or at least the general membership/readership of ATS) may be reading the debates. Suddenly it's not all fun and games any more .. I think I feel responsible or something like that.

Not a supernova. Hypernova. It created a super massive hole, and I am caught in the event horizon, unable to escape.

A Black Hole is a Joke?

You're just trying to get me in trouble now, aren't you?

Edit: That was a mastery of bbcode except for a single space!

No, a hypernova

But I think no one saw the age of star at which supernova occurs. That has some possible implications.

It may come as a shock, but you guys need to refresh your memory on what I said a few pages back.

When you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING.

That's awesome...

Yeah, back when we still had a view counter on the forum thread list page, I always thought it was fun to track which debates gained the most views...you'd be surprised how many people read these...
