I'm in Geelong/Vic and its high $1.40's late this arvo...HOWEVER...
News reports tonight have at least 100 servos in Melbourne selling it for $1.62 !!!!
Obviously wednesday tends to be the expensive point of the cycle, but a buck sixty for a litre of juice....Wow
Glad I don't own a car at the moment...

Yeah, if you have a car these days, $1.60 a litre is tough...Even if its a small 4 cylinder job..Too bad if you have an empty tank tonight and have to
buy at $1.60...
I reckon $1.80 isn't out of the question within a few months...Crude is looking like its going to fly thru $130 per barrel right now, and there
probably isn't a lot stopping it reaching $150 per barrel at some point this year, with the sheer volume of speculative money in the oil markets at
the moment...
Peace

I expect it to be several cents higher by Friday.

Here is a great site that shows gas prices for all of US/Canada. Just click your state or province on the main map. It also has historical pricing
info as well as some very cool temperature maps which are interactive (zoom) that reflect prices by color (california looks scary). Well worth a
look...

NE England (Manchester) : circa $10/gallon
For metric heathens, thats about £1.10 per litre, or US $2.20 per litre... cheapest in the country, too!
Ive seen places on motorways up to £1.30/L, equating to well over 12 dollars per US gallon.
Shocking and absurd when you consider that about 70p per litre is VAT TAX and FUEL DUTY. Bastard government.

I'm all so in Perth Western Australia and as said before we are paying $1.50 litre
But i have just come down from North of the state and they are paying $1.95 a litre and even more for diesel
It's funny you said about $1.80 a litre because i said to my girlfriend that by xmas we would be paying this much if not more
Just thismorning on tv they said oil had hit $130 a barrel
www.msnbc.msn.com...
And i don't think it's going to stop any time soon

It's $3.85/ Gallon where I'm at. The prices fluctuates daily though, so there's not really a fixed price to speak of.
