I start this topic because I think it could have some additional value when we also look at religions for Ufo describtions.

Indian aircrafts thousands of years old

Their method of propulsion, she said, was "anti-gravitational" and was based upon a system analogous to that of "laghima," the unknown power of the ego existing in man's physiological makeup, "a centrifugal force strong enough to counteract all gravitational pull." According to Hindu Yogis, it is this "laghima" which enables a person to levitate.

It flew with the "speed of the wind" and gave forth a "melodious sound." There were at least four different types of Vimanas; some saucer shaped, others like long cylinders ("cigar shaped airships"). The ancient Indian texts on Vimanas are so numerous, it would take volumes to relate what they had to say.

, the Vaimanika Sastra, a fourth century B.C. text written by Bharadvajy the Wise, using even older texts as his source, was rediscovered in a temple in India. It dealt with the operation of Vimanas and included information on the steering, precautions for long flights, protection of the airships from storms and lightening and how to switch the drive to "solar energy" from a free energy source which sounds like "anti-gravity."

The Vaimanika Sastra (or Vymaanika-Shaastra) has eight chapters with diagrams, describing three types of aircraft, including apparatuses that could neither catch on fire nor break. It also mentions 31 essential parts of these vehicles and 16 materials from which they are constructed, which absorb light and heat; for which reason they were considered suitable for the construction of Vimanas.

and were sometimes said to be propelled by a yellowish-white liquid, and sometimes by some sort of mercury compound, though writers seem confused in this matter.

one Vimana described was shaped like a sphere and born along at great speed on a mighty wind generated by mercury. It moved like a UFO, going up, down, backwards and forewards as the pilot desired. In another Indian source, the Samar, Vimanas were "iron machines, well-knit and smooth, with a charge of mercury that shot out of the back in the form of a roaring flame."

Vailixi were first developed in Atlantis 20,000 years ago, and the most common ones are "saucershaped of generally trapezoidal cross-section with three hemispherical engine pods on the underside." "They use a mechanical antigravity device driven by engines developing approximately 80,000 horse power."

The ancient Mahabharata, one of the sources on Vimanas, goes on to tell the awesome destructiveness of the war: "...(the weapon was) a single projectile charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and flame As bright as the thousand suns rose in all its splendor... An iron thunderbolt.

Ezekiel of the Bible

And I look, and lo, a tempestuous wind is coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire catching itself, and brightness to it round about, and out of its midst as the colour of copper, out of the midst of the fire.

As to the likeness of the living creatures, their appearances `are' as coals of fire -- burning as the appearance of lamps; it is going up and down between the living creatures, and brightness `is' to the fire, and out of the fire is going forth lightning.

And above the expanse that `is' over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, `is' the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man upon it from above.

And I see as the colour of copper, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness `is' to it round about.

Dogon statue
Dogon statue 2

This are the spacecrafts according to the Dogontribe in Africa. Just compare it to the describtion in Ezekiel, try to figure out where the throne and the man sitting on it is

very interesting post,

being born into the Hindu faith, I have questioned my religious scholars and even they admit that the alien theory is quite possible, however they do not have any additional insight to offer on the topic and go back to their religious rantings of the faith.

many think that christ is somehow alien related, so i am going to say it before anyone else does. in the madonna of the virgin mary holding, there is what appears to be a ufo in the corner of the painting. there, i said it

Perhaps also worth to take a look at:

Egyptian book of the Death
"Blazing fire, unquenchable, with far-reaching tongues of flame, irresistible slaughterer, which one may not pass through fear of its deadly attack."

Egyptian book of the Death again
She made light with her feathers, she created air with her wings (said about Isis a Egyptian God).

Thoth and the goddess Maat mark out thy course for thee day by day and every day.
Let me journey above the earth.

Egyptian book of the Death
Let me behold Horus when he is in charge of the rudder [of the Boat of Ra].

Perhaps is the above a reason to say the Egyptians described the same as Ezekiel, the Dogontribe and Hindoeism? I think it does have a lot in common with a spacecraft.

and don't forget mozes on the mountain when he was there for the 10 commitments. above the clouds he stayed there for some time and he had to drink and eat so he went up in a space craft out of the vision of normal man because of clouds.

Remember that cult that said they had cloned a human? They are out of Canada and they are called the Raeliens, with their leader's name bein RAEL. In old hebrew "Ra" (Hebrew doesn't have vowels, but the sounds are implied) can be "spirit" in english and "EL" is GOD.

Eloha really, but EL is used very often. For those who are Jewish or know practicing Jews they may go to a synagogue called Temple BETHEL. Beth is a word used for house and you guessed it el is GOD. Bethel=God's House or something like it.

Well the RAEL claimed that while he was climbing a mountain in France that Aliens named Elohim came to him and said they are the ones who put us here.

Elohim has a plural meaning. I am now going to quote someone else here that really says it better.

It's really quite simple. Elohim when used about God who is One and you don't understand this quite, it has to do with what is called majesty pluralis. When used in plural intensive Elohim signifies that God is a sacred being. You can see much of the same in German forms of "you": 'du' (singular, to people you know) and 'Sie' (plural, to people you don't lknow or who are above you in rank). Your majesty, when said in Norwegian, is somethings like "Their" Majesty -- Deres Majestet.

With all of this said, the passage in Genesis that says that "God created man in his own image" that in the ancient text, Elohim is used. So if we look at what this guy Rael is saying instead of what I quoted above is that there were more than one of God who did this. Now do I believe Rael? Nope. Also look at Genesis 6 the whole chapeter and explain that. I have an idea, but won't go into it here.

--------------------

(problem is that Elohim is the Hebrew name, and that name was given to God by the Hebrews. God was the name which the western world gave... so Elohim is just a name which some people gave to it, just like Allah, Isis, God and so on. So it is a bit of 'not true' that the aliens said to be Elohim because that is a name given by Menkind. Concerning the aliens being God then we would have to say that they aren't called Elohim. Menkind would also be called Elohim on other planets (if they speak Hebrew), but still we wouldn't say we are Elohim but menkind).

So what Rael said isn't true because they wouldn't say they are Elohim because they are not, it is just a name given by menkind. (I hope you guys understand what I mean because I don't know how clear I am).

I have already shown the Dogonstatues which represented the possible aircrafts in which the Gods of the Dogon flew.

Some more information about those aircrafts (called Granary) is below, and part of their story of creation.

Dogon creation story

Without wasting another moment, the first smith hurled the Granary along the arc of a rainbow toward the earth. The gossamer thread spun out from the top of the granary in serpentine coils, suggesting the ever-lasting movement of the Nummos helicoid sign. As the Granary glided toward earth, the first smith stood ready with bellows, hammer, and bow to defend against attack from Heaven. It came in the form of a fire-brand hurtled by the female Nummo, which arrived with a great thunderclap. The first ancestor deflected its force with the bellows. But, because he had stored embers from the sun within the bellows, the device had acquired some of the suns essence and so the firebrand could not prevail against it. The ancestral smith doused the flames of the brand, whose name was bazu, was to become the origin of worship of the female fire. No sooner were the flames extinguished than the male Nummo hurled a second firebrand. But it was no more effective than the first. The second flame was named anaky and was to become the origin of the worship of the male fire.

The thunder increased the velocity of the Granary and now it hurtled at tops speed along the rainbows arc. Seeing that impact was only moments away, the first ancestor assumed a defensive posture. Then, WHACK! The Granary was on the ground.

Perhaps this was an Ufo too?

In my post above I wasn't defending the idiot Rael, I was just point out what their beliefs are. I am not defending their ability to clone either.

As for God's name being Elohim and that is a name WE as humans gave him, I'm not so sure. There was a secret name of God and that probably wasn't Elohim to your point, but if God told me his name then that would be it in whatever language. If ET has a tongue and he/she/it speak similarly to us humans then that name would sound the same in thier tongue too.

As for Genesis 6 read it. Depending on your point of view it can be taken all sorts of ways. Let say you are an Athiest that believes in ET. How about a literal believer in the bible, but not a believer in ET? How about someone who believes in God and the story of Genesis isn't literal, but the information is used to prove a point and a believer in ET?

Note: I am not supporting any of the views below as the truth, just different things I have heard.

The sons of God could be ET, Angels or the decendents of Seth depending on your view. The daughters of men could be Cain and his wife's decendents or they could of been Cro-Magnon man that was already here when we were put here. They could be Seth's decendents or an un-named sibling that Angels married.

Did I make any sense?
Probably not!

Yes you do make sense, I just want to say something about the above.

Every person on this world has a tongue (most of them at least) and the sound would be similar but the language wouldn't. Just look at Moses 6th book

and by the most holy names of God, Agios, Tehirios, Perailtus, Alpha et Omega, Beginning and End, God and Man-Sabaoth, Adanai, Agla, Tetragramaton, Emanuel, Abua, Ceus, Elioa, Torna, Deus Salvator, Aramma, Messias, Clerob, Michael, Abreil, Achleof, Gachenas et Peraim, Eei Patris et Peraim Eei filii, et Peraim Dei spiritus Teti, and the words by which Solomon and Manasses, Cripinus and Agrippa conjured the spirits, and by whatever else thou mayest be conquered, that you will yield obedience to me, N.N. the same as Isaac did to Abraham, and appear before me, N.N. this instant, in the beautiful, mild, human form of a youth, and bring what I desire. (This the conjuror must name).

I am just saying those are just names which menkind gave to them. I have read somewhere N.N. was the real name of God (so in the language of God), and those others were given by menkind.

From the book of Enoch which I am studying now

The describtion of heaven

10They elevated me aloft to heaven. I proceeded, until I arrived at a wall built with stones of crystal. A vibrating flame (20) surrounded it, which began to strike me with terror.
(20) Vibrating flame. Literally, "a tongue of fire"
11Into this vibrating flame I entered;
12And drew nigh to a spacious habitation built also with stones of crystal. Its walls too, as well as pavement, were formed with stones of crystal, and crystal likewise was the ground. Its roof had the appearance of agitated stars and flashes of lightning; and among them were cherubim of fire in a stormy sky. (21) A flame burned around its walls; and its portal blazed with fire. When I entered into this dwelling, it was hot as fire and cold as ice. No trace of delight or of life was there. Terror overwhelmed me, and a fearful shaking seized me.
(21) In a stormy sky. Literally, "and their heaven was water" (Charles, p. 81).
13Violently agitated and trembling, I fell upon my face. In the vision I looked.
14And behold there was another habitation more spacious than the former, every entrance to which was open before me, erected in the midst of a vibrating flame.
15So greatly did it excel in all points, in glory, in magnificence, and in magnitude, that it is impossible to describe to you either the splendour or the extent of it.
16Its floor was on fire; above were lightnings and agitated stars, while its roof exhibited a blazing fire.

Now the describtion of God on his throne comes

17Attentively I surveyed it, and saw that it contained an exalted throne;
18The appearance of which was like that of frost; while its circumference resembled the orb of the brilliant sun; and there was the voice of the cherubim.
19From underneath this mighty throne rivers of flaming fire issued.
20To look upon it was impossible.
21One great in glory sat upon it:
22Whose robe was brighter than the sun, and whiter than snow.
23No angel was capable of penetrating to view the face of Him, the Glorious and the Effulgent; nor could any mortal behold Him. A fire was flaming around Him.
24A fire also of great extent continued to rise up before Him; so that not one of those who surrounded Him was capable of approaching Him, among the myriads of myriads (22) who were before Him. To Him holy consultation was needless. Yet did not the sanctified, who were near Him, depart far from Him either by night or by day; nor were they removed from Him. I also was so far advanced, with a veil on my face, and trembling. Then the Lord with his own mouth called me, saying, Approach hither, Enoch, at my holy word.

This is a describtion of Enoch going to God, in which he first goes to heaven and then meets God.

Looks like a describtion of a spacecraft?
