This is purely an opinion piece. And not a long one either.

Right now and for the last 12 months the United States is under attack. Countries around the world are acting as one to take down America. Countries have been aggressively selling and shorting our dollar. We stand by and let them. We have entered a period in our country where our economy is under sever pressure. Other countries have take this opportunity to add on to our hard times. While our Treasury department and Federal Reserve act at any opportunity to save our economy, and act to save the world economy (SOCGEN debacle) other Country banks or European Union Banks sit idly by and say, we need to stay out of it and defend our own currencies. They are not defending their currencies, but taking an opportunity to bring down the greatest country in the world.

I will tell you one thing. It won't work. Our economy and our backbone is so strong that as much as we bend, we will not break. There is a saying I love to repeat from when I worked on Wall Street. When America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold! Be careful what you try to do, it will spread around the world and will not be easy for the rest of you. We already have seen one bank failure in England, a huge land/real estate bubble in Spain and scandal in France. Just wait until our dollar starts to rebound and you are left holding currencies the could rapidly devalue.

This is just a warning....instead of trying to do what can't be done....act with us and do the right thing.

They are standing by and watching our economy collapse?

Thats kind of hard to do when it was designed to do it all on its own from its conception...

There's a lot of info and history involved in the conception of the Federal Reserve system and our current economy, And don't be fooled into thinking this is anyones fault but those who created it, this system only ever served one purpose, and that purpose is to slowly take from us everything, making us dependent on the system, and not on ourselves, Leaving us with nothing and them with everything, What this also does is ensure the cycle will continue, As when it does fail and we are all in the hole, The very people who put us there are also conveniently the very people who will be there and come to the rescue, they will have the solution to the problem they created, a new system will begin it will be different yet the same, It started this way, and it will start again this way, these systems last just long enough so the people who were around when they were created are no longer around to object and remind us of what will happen if we travel that road again, and also long enough so the people who created them will benefit greatly from it in there own lifetimes.

Blaming everyone but the culprits is just what they want, It will make it that much easier for them to get away with it, again

The solution is the problem itself, A system of fiat currency, and credit.

Both must be eliminated.

You might want to rethink all but the first part of that statement, We should thank them as it was they who warned us the consequences of allowing our country to go down this road, It was most certainly not the fault of our founders that 100 years ago, our grandparents and great grand parents stood by and allowed this to happen and ignored the founders warnings.

This system is beyond our control to stop now, But it is completely in our control to stop it from happening again.

I hope for this collapse because it is then when the true colors of America will show, it will remove all doubt as to rather We choose to be slaves, or Citizens.

KINETIC TORPEDO ? WAR WITH THE WORLD

Fishing ship sinks off Alaska; 4 dead, 42 survivors

Link To News Story

The captain's son, Scott Jacobsen, told KIRO-TV in Seattle the family wants to know what would cause such a large vessel to sink under conditions it should have been able to withstand.

"Something was wrong, went really wrong, so we're interested in the details," he said. "Things like that don't just happen. My dad's been fishing all his life and he's never had anything remotely close to this happen."

The cause of the sinking was under investigation. The ship's owner, the Fishing Company of Alaska, said in a statement that it did "not have sufficient information to determine why the vessel foundered."

Waves up to 8 feet and 25-knot wind were reported at the time the 184-foot ship sank, Lane said.

Report: Russian Bombers Intercepted Off Alaska

MOSCOW - NATO forces sent jets to escort two Russian long-range air force bombers patrolling neutral skies near Alaska on Wednesday, Russian news agencies quoted the defense ministry as saying.

Vladimir Putin's nuclear threat to the West

He compared British newspaper stories that carried allegations of his alleged multi-billion- pound fortune to "detritus excavated from someone's nostril and smeared across bits of paper.".

"Heads of state have no right to whinge or drool for any reason," he said. "If they are going to slobber and blow snot and say things are bad, bad, then that's how it will be."

He told western observers who refused to monitor the forthcoming election, widely seen as a sham, that they should "rather teach their own wives how to cook cabbage soup.

I do believe this is how WW II was started with attacks on comercial vessels. 150 miles West of Dutch Harbor is getting pretty close to Russia. Better get a grip on your shorts and be prepared for food rationing.

Weeeellllll....that is some good connection of the proverbial dots there.

The game is changing. Iran, China, and a VERY large contingency of South and Central America is eager to befriend Russia and fight at their side against the US and our perceived "lapdogs".

The difference between WWII and now is not only the nukes, but Australia. Australia is fully capable of providing serious support to Allied forces, and those tough SOB's down there are certainly war worthy.

And don't forget technology. The Russian's have a plane that completely outclasses our current known technology. However, it is very likely that the "known" technology is not nearly as capable as that which is still under covers.

What concerns me are unknowns. What happened during Project Highjump, and would it have any effect on modern war scenario's?

I just don't see Russia being able to best the United States without severe crippling occuring first. They would need a VERY soft target to stand a chance.

This is the fault of all you China-Mart shoppers, and gas guzzlers out there, and the overpaid union workers. The problem is the trade imbalance.

The US dollar is going down because the rest of the world would be fools to keep accepting piles of that worthless butt wipe currency in exchange for all those goods and oil the US imports from around the world. What are they to do with increasing accumulating piles that funny money paper? Buy $1500 made in the USA iPods made by overpaid union workers? What do you manufacture in the USA that they can't get cheaper from elsewhere in the world? What can you sell China in return for all that you import in order to fix this trade imbalance? And what about all those OPEC nations sitting on huge piles of dollars?

The USA has been taking advantage of the poorer nations around the world and their cheap labor for quite some time, and now the rest of the world is awakening to this con scam being perpetrated upon them by the USA. And now they are going to take the US dollar down because nobody has faith in it anymore. The USA is too expensive for the rest of the world to shop at using that funny money of yours.

Many Americans are even loosing faith in their declining dollar. Every passing day your dollar declines in value. The dollars you earned last month won't even buy as much this month as it could have last month. A gallon of milk cost $4 today. See if that $4 will still buy a gallon of milk a year from now. It won't. Why? Because the Federal Reserve steals value from your dollars every time they irresponsibly create more of that funny money to replace what flew out of your country. The US dollar is crap. It will crash, along with the US unproductive economy.

Don't believe me? Let's wait and see.

We began exporting our manufacturing sector because our technology sector began to boom. We currently are the world leaders in business process support and technology systems. So much so that it has enabled us to remain who/what we are.

China has even been able to begin to pick this up as well. A good friend of mine will manage one of the new sights for Intel's chip manufacturing. He leaves for China shortly after Christmas (he is on a 1 year paid sabbatical).

The concern for me is China's known penchant for techno espionage. But that is another story.

The US has plenty of wares that the world is clammoring for. The problem is, the world has gotten their act together to enough of a degree to put up a semi-united front against the west.

But don't be fooled. The rest of the world is supporting by a three legged stool. Remove oil from that equation, and the stool will topple. Iran is a few million barrels of oil away from stone age. I am willing to wait. Nanotech will change the game beyond anything that you could imagine.

Which document says that and within the scope of what? I can see how a formidable mind is the most valuable asset for a government.

the USA cant always blame everyone else for their own internal problems + policies, and we all know how screwed up the USA's internal policies & politics are and that right there is the problem.

america has had a stranglehold on the balance of power for some time but it is slowly coming unravelled at the seams.

other smaller, poorer countries get tired of being bullied around and shafted by one sided FTA's and other policies they disagree with so of course they wont come to the rescue.

its no different to seeing a shrewd businessman come to his knee's, he's been dictating and making demands for his own needs at the expense of others for so long that when it all falls down around him he then turns and expects to be rescued and gets bitter because people arent willing to help save him?
sorry but that doesnt fly right with me.

im not anti- america or its people, i just hate the one sided self centred game of politics your govt plays on the rest of the world.

in closing, i dont think other countries want america to fall but they probably would like to see the US Govt's inflated ego knocked down a few pegs.

Yes, but not enough to evenly balance things out, I think.

The trade imbalance is problem #1 which MUST be resolved to prevent a catastrophe. Piles of US dollars (slave certificates) can't keep flying out of the nation forever without eventually coming back to haunt you. You are enslaving yourselves and your descendents and even your unborn yet to come. (gee thanks, I'm sure they will appreciate that, huh?)

How many of you are already too old to ever hope to repay your share of this accumulating national and foreign debt? How long will it take you younger ones to repay all this debt you and us soon to be to-old-to-work ones have accumulated in our lives? And what if this debt keeps increasing despite your best (voluntary) efforts to get control of this run away elite society living on borrowed dimes?

At what point do the nations accumulating your debt decide the US dollar is just too risky to play with any longer, because the purchasing power of those dollars is so quickly declining? I can see this myself just by using them dollars myself. I don't even want to play with them. I should have insisted in being paid in gold last year, ha.

Yes, the United States is under attack, by our own selves, our lifestyles, our economic structure, the Federal Reserve, by our own funny money, and our collective national and foreign debt. It's hard to deny that the US dollar is loosing value fast. With a no-end-in-sight accumulating trade deficit, a crash is inevitable. All that needs to happen to make it crash is for OPEC nations to decline the US dollar for oil. And the US will go bankrupt. And the rest of the world will take a hit. And then mass chaos and mayhem will follow. And by the time the dust settles a couple years later, a new One World Order will have taken over. And thus ends the industrial era. And every sovereign nation on Earth.

You all will unite, or destroy yourselves. Wait, you'll see.

As the corporate despots and sub criminal sociopaths have raped the planet for personal wealth and dominance at the expense of all other planets inhabitants.

I think next time you go to the store and buy food from another country, you should consider what these sociopaths have done. The world wants revenge and they will get it.

I can recall reports of contaminated baby formula, chemical accidents, chemical spills, fishing habitat destruction, and chemical gas reported to have killed untold numbers of people throughout the world. These at the hands of our illustrious USA corporate despots, US government sanctions, CIA criminal activity. Oh, and lets not forget the current financial crisis these same sociopaths have perpetrated on the world.

The Soviet Union has and axe to grind with us and have for a long time.

Now with the devaluation of the dollar, Europe, China, Japan, and the Middle East are losing Trillions!

Hey folks I consider myself a patriotic American, but sit here in shame of what these criminals have done to the world in the name of the USA.

Those are true words.I'm very happy, theres people in the know in Texas!
They say a wise man learns from others mistakes, well the aussies did just that, learnt from all the wars, and are respected worldwide, buy both freindly, and enemy alike. When we do things our way, we do it well. I'm a proud West aussie and from my mates in the army, and vets, I recognise the respect, thank you.

To the OP: I've been watching America closely at least since 9/11 and I agree that America does seem to be under attack, from a lot of countries. I feel that this is partly "kick the dog when its down" syndrome. That is, when the dogs down, kick it so it can't get up. Brutal, I know, but economics, really is a perfect weapon, when you think about it, using economics, you can strangle a country from within, force the population against itself. One of the first steps of modern warfare is to indirectly attack the civilians! that is, to cut off communications, power, water, fuels, oils, etc to create hostilities amongst the population, which in turn, puts enourmous strain on the enemy government. With an economy such as americas, it should be easy, for an enemy, or group of, to band togeather, and attack the civilians first, financialy. I can easily see how many major countries, enemy, and former, that could join togeather, and wage war, quitely, with no casualties themselves, then I s'pose comes the kickin' the old dog bit.
I guess, looking around, its allready begun.....

The United States is the largest consumer of goods and services in the world. How does any country benefit by collapsing our economy? If we fall, so does the rest of the world in a domino effect when we are no longer able to buy from them.

Nobody is profiting from the downfall of a country but sometimes there is no way in hell how something can be averted. the US economic downfall is one of those things. The longer this ball keeps rolling the harder the fall will be when it implodes. Such is the workings of our modern day economy.

Do the right thing? For whom? For you yankees (

And what about the veiled threat: "This is just a warning..."

Oh, I love the neo imperialist self righteous bulldust that people like you spout.

I'm surprised, personally, that the U.S. has only been under attack for a year. I would have thought it was much longer than that!

Oh yeah, I also love the might is right attitude. Go on with it buddy, you'll go far!

I don't totally buy that!
While interesting, who voted the lawmakers and government in?
By standing by and letting them get away with things, you are tacitly agreeing with them.
If you don't like it, act against it, or get out of it!
