The magnetosphere had a huge temperature spike at around 3:00 am UT as you can see on this chart...

www2.nict.go.jp...

and here's how it looked like

www2.nict.go.jp...

Could this have been caused by the asteroid entering Earth's magnetic field?

Currently it seems to have gotten more stable but it still isn't at a normal level as indicated here...

Time to break out the Russian Standard and toast mungo!!!!! We're socked-in here. ARRRRGGGHHH. Just to see any part of the sky without cloud!!! I know it's there. I'm dying to know what the final closest approach distance is... and i want to see if the E MOID value fluctuates as it leaves in the same relative position on the opposite side of the arc as it came in on. 12 minutes. I hoist the vodka to our good friend from Aus OzW!!!

Cheers and long life, to OzW!

[img]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/uploads/ats51428_DSCF5501.JPG[/imgI just wanted to be the first one to point out that this asteroid TU24 has faces.] I made the radar picture larger for easier viewing. Impact or invasion? Hey, ATS put me in skunk works, so i can say this stuff.

Ketzer,

Don't worry....unless it is their fire alarm going off. If there is a fire in the house wake them up. Otherwise...let them sleep.....stop drinking now.....the world is fine....you are fine....and you have school tomorrow most likely!

All is well.......

Peace.

Ok, this realtime magnetosphere is starting to go a bit weird now. Ive only had it on for the last 20 mins or so but I totally lost connection then came back to a magnetic field which is all over the place

anyone looking now? is this "normal"?

Heya wrangell

Nah nothing of interest lately, been pretty quiet

More focusing on tropical cyclones in our region at the moment. The public go absolutely panicky when we get those

Put on your hardhats and head outside. I would but its too dark out there and we have almost two feet of new snow.

Anything going on now?
