For those that haven't seen this, on Monster Quest they have video proof, of a squid estimated to be over 100 foot long.

I don't understand. I thought it was big because the body was so far away from the camera and the octopus thingy was still touching it with the armsT_T

They only talk about one eye but I can see two;D

Monster Quest rocks. I remember seeing that squid episode a few weeks ago. Pretty incredible. Whether it's over a hundred feet or not, it was one huge specimen.

If it was so far away and still touching the camera wouldn't that make it the larger of the two specimens? Cause that squid would be nearly 300ft long with its extended tentacles. That's a pretty big squid. Good eatings on that I'd think.

I would love to see the infamous Kraken. Maybe some day they will discover the squid that fueled the fears of European sailors.

By the way, nice name MichaelMyers XD

iwould say that a 300 ft squid would fuel the fears of most peoples even in these days. seeing how most boats are barley a fraction of that length. though there has been solid proof of this squid for quite some time now its still a good find..

Humans weren't made for the ocean. Most mammals aren't for that matter. There are creatures there than will eat us for tea!

Even if we had gills things in the ocean would eat us, there's always a bigger fish.

Thanks for the video post OP. Fascinating, these animals are amazing.
They were only down 1,000 feet, what big squid eats giant squid?

Would the Kraken surface to seize a ship.
Seems it likes to hunt deeper.
Maybe there was more fish in the surface waters back when giant
squid attacked ships.

Can you just imagine being out in the ocean, at night, and one
of those things smashes the bottom of your ship and starts dragging
it down?
