UFO South Florida 5 p.m. 12/20/07

My daughter, son and friends came running in the house yelling, saying there was a spaceship, come and take a picture. One said she saw flames coming out. This is maximum zoom on a Panasonic DMC-FZ5:

I don't know what it is, but it has no wings. It resembles a cruise missile.

If this is easily rebuffed, my apologies in advance.

I dont know what it is...but I see wings on it...on the left side....and a tail...but VERY very faint

Im not sure what it is....

No need for apologies. It bothers me a bit when folks become too sensitive about how people will respond.

Your intentions in posting your pics are too inform the rest of us and to share info, even if it is rebuffed, or debunked, or whatever......

The intention of the post is what matters and your intention is well received, at least in my book and the majority of the ATSers I have run across. As far as the rest, that is to heck with them. Thanks for the post.

What was the date? 12-20-07 hasn't happened yet. So that is really confusing.

I think it has wings, but they are almost of the same brightness as the sky, so they almost disappear.

And I also think it looks like a small(ish) jet.

Was the object moving?
If it was, at what speed (approximately) was it moving?
If it was moving, in what direction (relatively to the ground and to itself) was it moving?

Almost looks like the Predator UAV. Although, I'm not camera smart, and don't know any way of judging the size of that object. Just a thought.

It really looks like a normal jet, the angle confuses me though, especially since you had time to take many pictures of it. Maybe your camera was tilted? And I believe someone has already asked this, How was it moving? At what speed? Is there an airport near by? Is there a miltary base nearby?

I saw this on Coast to Coast am website today...Could this be what he took a picture of? What is strange is the object on C2C was taken over the San Luis Valley on August 20, 2007...Hmmm...interesting... Here is the link to that story...

Shouldn't it be a tad bit darker out for 5:00 pm? Sunset time for today (the 17th, though I realize you took this three days from now) in Miami is 5:32. I would think it would be getting pretty dark out by 5:00.

Well once again we have some ambiguous pictures. The person who can best know what it is, is the very person who took the pictures because he was there and has more info than we do since his post like so many, is suspicious for lack of information surrounding his siting. Why do we not get the following info:

1) Was it hovering in one spot or flying in a direction?

2) Was it making a sound, you know, like a jet engine?

3) How long was it up there?

4) How did it finally disappear, by flying away, or just vanishing instantly?

These are the questions the OP should be answering himself before adding to the millions of other false alarm threads that other people start. But as usual, we get no info, just some suspicious pictures we're supposed to for some reason evaluate for the OP, which based on this type of thing being a daily occurrence, seems like this board is the target of nothing but hoaxes and disinformation to cause confusion.

The object was headed North Northeast, and my camera was relatively straight, although I was in a bit of a rush, and I had to zoom ina nd out a couple of times, and set the white balance. These images were adjusted in the following manner to find the edges:

Duplicate layer
Invert layer
Set top layer to "Difference"
Set hue to 180 to correct somewhat for color distortion
They were upsampled from 100x100 pixles to 800x800 using "Bicubic Smoother"

They were shot in burst mode, over a period of two seconds. I stopped to look quickly at them, and then couldn't find it after that. It was already past being overhead, so was at a 35° angle from vertical.

Its a wacky-waving-inflatable-arm-flailing-tube-man that got away.
