Four Dolphins Shot in California, Feds Search for Killers

Four dead dolphins have washed ashore with fatal bullet wounds and fifth with lacerations on its pectoral fin, said authorities who have offered a reward for information on the slayings.

The long-beaked common dolphins were all discovered between Carlsbad State Beach and Oceanside Harbor between May 29 and June 5. Photos showed their normally sleek gray skin mottled and stained with blood from the bullet wounds.

This is really horrible, it's hard to believe anyone would do this.

Killing dolphins is a federal offense and if the perp is found, he could face some stiff fines and jail time.

I hope they do find whoever did this.

Who would shoot dolphins? It's amazing how pathetic the hu,am race can seem at times. This seems like a new low.

since when are dolphins better (legally) than any other animal...

surely they must be endangered, right???

Unless your going to eat it, there's no need to kill it.

This is pretty sick, just shooting some poor friendly little dolphins.

I hope they can retreive a round or two and do a ballistics match and find these animals.

Such a shame that some people have no sense then have to go out shooting dolphins.

I'm surprised that so many of you guys are surprised a human would do it.. You know how sick and crazy many humans are, what's so surprising? Yes, poor dolphins, I hope the aggressor(s) answer for this.
