I disagree.

For me, ANY research is good research.

If this event gets people interested, and doing their own
research, the better this community will become.

Are the pictures a hoax ? I'm sure, but that's my belief.

Are they part of a viral marketing campaign ? Very possible, but not yet proven.

Why do you think the military has exercises ? Training.

If we (the UFO community) looks upon this as training, instead
of taking a negative view, it becomes an interesting exercise.

I for one, am proud of how the ATS community has stepped up,
and done the research into this.

So, instead of taking the negative approach and calling foul, turn it
around and give it a big !

Regards,
Lex

It's not "proven" to be anything. The marketing theme is pure speculation at this point, arrived at via dozens of posts to get there. There are multiple threads because there have been multiple sightings and multiple ideas. It's really not that difficult to follow the threads which have the activity. The old ones will sink out of sight as they should; we're done with them. As far as diverting attention from 'more serious' research, by all means go ahead. You've got several choices that are active. One guy talks to aliens in his head, several people talk to Greys all the time. A few threads insist insects attracted to flash bulbs at night are evidence of UFOs or even aetheric beings. there are a few "lights in the sky" sightings. Of course, you always have the NWO Masonic connection to pursue. There's a new memo someone found on the JAL over Alaska sighting that just cropped up. Multiple threads to choose from. Take your pick.

if any one has been following the whole saga.

do you really think microsoft\viacom\clear channel would be involved in the pornographic images and text that went up on the rajman1977 hacked flickr.com account?

...or do we get to pick and choose stuff is not part of the arg to support our arguments?

don't you think the arg forums would be on fire over all the "drone" ufo images if there was any tangible connection?

Since your links are all from sites other than ATS, I think maybe
quite a few missed this aspect.

Thanks for bringing this up, and keeping us up to date...kind of.

Lex

Edit to add : The OMF link isn't working.

It's all just Microsofts Alternate Reality Game promotion for Halo 3. Coming out in September you know. They did it before with halo 2 and the ilovebees.com fiasco. Infact, a few people from abovetopsecret ended up calling the fbi and giving a terror alert warning about the site because of its timer.

ref's to a website that was about honey bvee's that was hacked with strange stuff and a count down timer.

It ends on Thursday sometime. The only thing about that day, 21st, is that it's the Summer Solstice which is of course the longest day of the year. I personally think Bungie, the company that makes Halo, is going to put out more viral campaigns or ##.### will update. I'm a very big Halo gamer, and before Halo 2 came out, a site called Ilovebees.com was a viral ad campaign of sorts set up by Bungie themselves. It also had a timer at one time I think! Although, whether or not our UFO is actually part of this... I'm not sure about. Could it be Microsoft/Bungie had a random employee create the page and they just used the ufo picture because they found it on the net?? Maybe they're part of our community even.

from the bungie.org ARG forum faq:

"# Lyca Dot Game is Unrelated - This also includes the "numbers" domains."

and here on bungie's official forum is a thread that discusses the issue;

according to them ##.### is unrelated to the halo 3 arg. the domain is owned by a person named matt asher who supposedly underhandly first attached himself to the halo 2 ARG.

Well, the relation to Halo and ##.### is a picture of a HALO Kitty.
Halo Kitty Link

Also, the number that the main hero goes by is 117 (1+1=2 and put a 7 after it and you get 27.)

If you check out the registration info for ##.###, you'll find that it's registered to a web development company called Top Cola. Said company does viral martketing websites, and this is looking an awful lot like the marketing campaign for Halo 2, which was at www.ilovebees.com. (Note how the site says nothing about Halo 2 until you dig for it, and didn't say anything until what's there was posted.) The fact that they're responsible for websites that are connected to Halo 3 viral marketing, one of which features an image of the drone, points towards this being part of the Halo 3 marketing.

Yeah but the original text that led folks to the JPG is missing and now there is a big chat box in its place with a bunch of kiddies spamming it. Without the original text there is no way to know if the sight was related back to the original evidence trail or not. If the sight goes back up we are apparently looking for that symbol hidden on the page somewhere. I sure hope that this sight was part of that marketing thing and not some poor persons site cause it has defiantly been messed with due to this UFO/Game deal.

Hey Lex, looks like someone hacked it to redirect.

Try this...

In your address bar, remove the filename, just leave the root. Either that, just type it manually.

It then takes you to the real ilovebees.com.... I think?

I get two different pages for that site. Using the link, I get a page that is supposed to be "www.ilovebees.com/404.html". Which means a "server not found" error. But the page itself does not look like an Error page.

But when you type it in manually, it does not happen that way, it goes to "www.ilovebees.com", and shows something different.

Whether this is related to anything or not, I don't know. But I found it very interesting, regardless.

Ummm you DO know that you can print ANYTHING you want on a 404 page?

Most people just use the generic server one but you can get creative

that was not my point.

When you link to ilovebees.com, using a hyperlink, it directs to a different page than if you enter the url manually.

Hope this clarifies my point a little better.

Yes but if you check the link you posted you will see that it includes 404.html so naturally it will take you directly to that page

but when you type it in manually you are not adding the 404.html
