just slightly annoyed

at my friend. all day so far / some of last night she has been like ugh im old im turning 24 blah blah im like dude what?? 24=old?? HELL NO! i try to tell her at least be happy you made it to 24 unlike some of our friends who lost their lives at 16/19/20/18 etc..(RIP)

BUT she's like i feel old..um what how does someone so vibrant and YOUNG feel old! 24 is sooo not old haha im going to be turning the same age and yes i joke about "oh so old" but i know it's not. i think people in their 30s would be offended hearing her speak like that haha anyway no matter what i say shes still acting all debbie downer
i tried to be like trust me i KNOW old haha i used to work at an "old folks home" people there were much older in their 80s and 90s this one lady who was 99 years old would ask me everyday if i could help her die! it was honestly the most depressing job ever.anyway i tell her to think about when she is 74 shes gonna wish she was 24 all over again. haha
anyway okay end of rant here.

24 old? Damn I would give anything to be 24 again.I'm only 36 but hey those were the fun years. Now I got too many kids and responsibilities to have that kind of fun again.Your friend needs to lighten up.Tis an attitude like that will cause one to die young.

Ha! Old! I'm her numerical opposite -- 42. And I get in trouble if I say that I feel old from my older friends.

Maybe she's trying to say she's depressed, or tired, and that's how it's coming out.

I recently overheard a 27 year old at a party talking about how he felt so old while he was trying to find a hookup to buy painkillers, coke, or meth (I'm 43 and don't mess with that crap but occaisonally find myself around people who do). I laughed in his face, told him he was a youngling and to quit doing those friggin chemicals of he wanted to feel right again. I told him if you can't grow it, brew, it, or pick it in the wild, then you don't want to do it. Old at 27. Sheesh!

I think that is a really big problem with many people in their 20s. Too much partying. Of course, I didn't think you could party too much when I was their age either.

i agree and i AM in my 20s haha im actually pretty burnt out from the party scene which is kinda sad but hey at least i figured it out sooner than later.

anyway yeah maybe she IS just trying to get attention. But i mean you already get enough attention on your bday regardless of what age you are turning.

but yeah ill let her think shes old and then when shes celebrating her 50th (no offense to anyone) ill ask if she wishes she were 24 again hahaha

What, I don't believe it! Partying in your twentys then you have to stop. Pants to that!

30 is the new 20
40 is the new 30
50 is the now 40

and well, after that there's always viagra and what ever else I can brew or grow and I'll be doing all three, quite possibly at the same time.

You're only old if you let yourself think that way. And if she keeps on thinking that way, she'll get old real fast.

It's all in the mind. Hell, I've got some comfortable shoes older than 24!

And light parting is OK, just pace yourself and don't try to do it all at once. I'm an old hippie (the real ones, thank you) and we knew about burn out.

A side note, I laughed when Paul McCartney turned 64, considering one of his old songs, that I heard live.

if 24 is old then i must be like middle age and im only 17 lol
