Well technically it was on the first full moon of this month (2nd of may) which this year is when most celebrated his birth, death and enlightenment, however since this is a silly year theres two full moons this month the next being the 31st

Since so many people celebrate Vesak on so many days this month ive made the entire month a bit of a party

May 1: Sri Lanka (Vesak), Malaysia (Wesak), Cambodia (Visaka Bochea - Buddha Day), Myanmar (Kason Full Moon - Buddha Day)

May 2: Nepal - (Buddha Jayanti - Buddha Day), Laos - (Vesak), India (Buddha Purnima - Buddha Day), Bangladesh (Buddha Purnima - Buddha Day)

May 24: Hong Kong (Buddha's Birthday), South Korea (Seokka Tanshin-il - Buddha's Birthday), Macau (Buddha's Birthday), Taiwan (Buddha's Birthday)

May 31: Singapore (Vesak), Thailand (Visakha Bucha Day)

June 1: Bhutan (Buddha Day), Indonesia (Waisak - Buddha Day)

The Buddha's been a bit of an inspiration for me, i'm glad people have kept his teachings alive for over two thousand five hundred years, hopefully that will continue for another 2500 years.
