Praying to angels? Unheard of in the judeo-christian biblical teachings,

Well I guess it depends on a couple of things...
What your perspective is on the term 'praying' to angels as well as your understanding/definition of an 'angel' - as well as what aspect of 'judeo' you look into. (as well as parts of Christianity as well, albeit not ones that are necessarily 'in your face'.)

It seems in the religious forum here we quite often dance in a circle around the wrong question. Our view points are, of course, narrowed by our experiences and extremely affected by our current milieu.

In Judaism there are different levels of understanding a text (such as Genesis for example) P.D.R.S.
Most of us here are on the basic level taking allegories for face value as truth.

some of us delve deeper and yet get stuck feeling we now have the 'truth' and understanding. Its in letting go that you will find the answer, after all "the truth is near you and in you". That which you seek, you have. But again, its the joy in the journey is it not? How boring would it be if we knew it all at once.

The whole Jesus and Lucifer with boxing gloves coming out type scenario is really not even digging under the surface at all. Forget what you know so that you can be open to learn what is.

Then you can re-integrate the teachings of old back into your system of thought at a higher level.

Peace

Dalen

dAlen,

how're you ? long time no see.

well, the text actually says you got direct access to God through prayer. There's no middle man/men. No priest who prays in your guise. You got a direct link to the Almighty, any place, any time. 24/7/365. Doesn't even require a church building. And that you should call no man Father (in the formal religious sense, not the familal sense) except your Father in Heaven
