Why does everything have to be a conspiracy? War with Iran has been building up for a helluva lot longer then 3.5 years. Its 28 years overdue.

Lock and load.

Seriously Thatcher turned this country to #, im sick of disillusioned people thinking she was good for the country, do your homework.
This isnt a personal attack on you, believe me i encounter so many people that say 'thatcher wouldnt let this happen', I guarantee we would be much worse if not in nuclear wasteland right now.
ps: yes im British

Probably military action, but Russia and China have said nothing

The presidents of Russia and China on Monday called on Iran to fulfill the UN Security Council's resolutions over its disputed nuclear program.

Vladimir Putin and Hu Jintao also said in a joint statement that their countries - permanent, veto-wielding Security Council members - were ready to "search for a comprehensive, long-term and mutually acceptable solution to the Iranian nuclear problem.

No call to free the British troops. I am suprise since the UK does feel the EU does drop its weapon ban on China. And the UK does sell a large amount of arms to China.

Many people are calling this an abduction. Why is that? If they were in Iranian waters then it was legitimate. If they were abducted then what would we call the taking of those Iranians from Iraq from the Iranian soon-to-be embassy? Also what about the missing Military as well as the assasinated Nuke workers? Just who is intimidating who here?
Jeez all this fuss over the delusions of Israel. Wow its absolutely amazing the scenarios we create to justify what they have ordered to be done.

Interesting. I wonder if china and russia have more to lose if Iran is attacked?
China needs Irans oil while russia uses iran for influence in the global politics.

Things are going to be interesting 4 days from now. Either way you brits have my support to knock the ever loving # out of Iran. Its 28 years overdue.

well, i think its nearly 24 hours to go...or close enough.

Iran has committed an illegal offence, with the UK,EU,US and now Iraq saying the troops were in Iraqi waters.

They werent in Iranian waters. They were in Iraqi waters. And if Iran would like to retaliate using military action for its military advisors who are being held captive by US forces then they have that right just as the brits do.

Because it all is a BIG conspiracy.

Doesnt matter how long anythings been building up for,the longer it takes the less obvious it is to everyone.

The powers that be have it all planned, theres no rush to bully other OIL rich countries into submission psychologically, the USA know what they are doing and they know Iran will do something "stupid" to retaliate, its human nature.

Iran have every right to do whatever they want in their own country just like every other country has their own laws.

What do the people of Iran have to do with the Hostage crisis that happened in the 80's? You are of the belief that innocent people should die just because a bunch of religious zealots took hostages in the 80's? Thats amazing. If you believe you are right, then in their mind that was retribution for deposing their leader in the 50's and if you ask me both are the most retarded idea one could possibly think of, both the hostage crisis and wanting to attack Iran because of the hostage crisis in the 80's.

You are no better then they were with your idea of revenge.

we shouldnt have pussy footed with them then. Its way overdue. I hope no ill will towards the Iranian ppl. But we have given them enough time to rise up and do something about their unjust government. It is my opinion that military action is needed and has been for a long time.

The most likely option that America will take i feel.

I think strikes would be limited as most of America's Fighters left the region in 2004, while there are some still in place along with some bombers, none of them are stealth.

This would require long range B-2 runs from Diego Garcia, Guam and the U.S. mainland aimed at taking out command and control as well as AA sites followed up with F/A-18 sorties.

Should the U.S. relocate more ground based fighters as well as stealth aircraft in the region, then something may be up.

I don't think anything is going to happen overnight, as I have a suspicion that should negotiations beak down and we have to resort to a military option - key leadership with-in Iran will be targeted as well.

Since last month fighters have been moved to Turkey where there had been none since 2003.

Many people think our current government is unjust. With what you are saying, as though we should have a say in how another country's government should be ruled, does that mean that if a group of people outside of this country can also do things to us because they wish to see a change in our government? I would say your idea that we should run things is wrong and it does nothing but fuel other people to do things just as violent as 9-11.

Our Foreign Minister is now in Turkey holding talks. Either we were to attack Iran, we need Turkish support and their bases to lunch air attacks.

The Turkish support would be important. Especially a pledge from them they will not go into Iraq during operations against Iran. I just hope their support if we get it does not vanish like it did last time right before we invaded Iraq after telling us we could send one division through their country into Northern Iraq.

FYI the squadron of F-16's that deployed to Incirlik is no longer there because they are based in Germany. They deployed to Turkey for training operation where amongst other things they practiced "hot pitting". It is a technique that allows fighters to refuel and load as soon as they land without shutting off their engines in order to resume flight ops as soon as possible. This had not been done at the base in more than a decade, well 1991 to be exact. The current dates are no coincidence...

Seized sailors 'held in Tehran'

The 15 Royal Navy personnel who were seized on Friday are being held at an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps base in Tehran, the BBC has been told.

An Iranian source told the BBC's security correspondent the Britons were being interrogated to find out if their mission was intelligence-gathering.

Iran is slowly starting to back down. This is going to take days, but if the British harder, this could be sorted within afew hours.
