Mexico is lobbying aggresively for an immigration reform agreement in the United States.

Mexico wants Washington to usher in reforms to create a guest worker program, provide a legal path for millions of Mexicans living in the United States and allow for the reunification of families split by immigration laws.

Not surprsied... Mexico's largest foreign income comes from Mexicans in the United States (both legally and illegally). That's money (some... if I dare say much that aren't taxed) that goes OUT of our country into Mexicos.

Mexico is full of it... they use the "humanitarian" card on us for their illegals in the U.S. whereas they treat illegals coming into their country in a truly disgusting manner... just look it up on google on what they themselves do to illegals that come into their country.

Hilllarious...

Amazing when you get to see to whom our elected officials cater to . . .

Who is lobbying for the rights of the American people?

Nobody . . . but anybody foreign with the right amount of money can buy a politician anytime . . .

Mexico is the United States ghetto so this should be expected. The more people they send over here the more money gets sent back there. With there economy, which is trickle up, the money sent gets put in the pockets of the powerful.

Just my opinion on it.

Expect the President to embrace this immigration reform with an inclusive guest worker program, amnisty for illegals already here, and a provision for family members of those pardoned to be allowed in also. This is just the first part of the plan to unite Canada, US, and Mexico into an entity comparable to the European Union.

So while the "fence" is being built the borders will be thrown open, A 6 lane super highway will be constructed connecting all.

And who benifits from this stratagy? The megaCorps.

Habla Espanol, amigo?

Lou Dobbs was right! There is a war on the Middle Class of America.

Guest worker program = less jobs for U.S. citizens.

Jobs should go to U.S. citizens. The US does not need to import a workforce. The elite will keep it up though and we'll end up being a third world country.

Found the picture of the proposed Super Highway Map. Thought it might be interesting to add.

Anyway, I thought I would add this here

Although it isn't exactly new news it's nice to turn on the light and see what has been going on in the shadows every now and then.

duck, you really have brought to light something that I never knew about. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when reading that!

The best way to keep terrorists out of the U.S. is to stop creating them in the first place.

I couldn't agree more with this statement.

Will the Euro-Americans accept being ruled by us, possibly risking the collapse of the United States? Will they themselves seek autonomy rather than to face the humiliation of being ruled by ethnic Mexicans? One thing is certain, when we become the majority, and we will become the majority, more and more political offices will be held by democratically elected brown men and women.

I am speechless at this statement! I will come back to this thought later.

"The Inevitability of a Mexicano Nation in the American Southwest and Northern Mexico" where he states: "It is the natural aspiration of any peoples who achieve national consciousness to establish their own sovereign nation-states." We see that an independent nation state of Aztlan is not only possible; it is inevitable, as well.

For those who may not have read the article, Aztlan is the areas of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Texas, Colorado put together with Mexico to form a new nation. See map below.

To end this reply I wanted to leave you with a quote to think about.

"Mexico is a friend of America. Mexico is our neighbor. And we want our neighbors to succeed. We want our neighbors to do well.... And that's why it's so important for us to tear down barriers and walls that might separate Mexico from the United States."

-- President George W. Bush, address to the Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce, Albuquerque, New Mexico, August 15, 2001

Thank you duckcheney. Very informative article. It never hurts to bring up older articles! Just a reminder that the past is never far away.

So the highway is going to invaded the last reminding hard land left in America.

I guess the west already is full of Mexican, the east is full of Caribbean immigrants and now the bible belt needs to change their make over?

That map of the international trafficking (trade) corridor shows everything moving from Mexico to the US through Laredo/Nuevo Laredo. I-35 is the reason for all of the bloody fighting in Mexico during this new century. The drug plaza at Nuevo Laredo is contested by the Gulf cartel and the Sinaloa cartel. As a result, the Gulf's Zetas have been fighting with Sinaloa's Pelones in the streets of Nuevo Laredo as well as the states of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon. The fighting has even expanded to other parts of the country where the coc aine comes in from Colombia - everyone has heard of the carnage around Acapulco in the state of Guerrero, right?

The Zetas have already been fingered as responsible for some killings in Dallas during the past year or so. So what will this mess be like without a border between the US and Mexico? Even as porous as it is at least it exists at the moment. What will the Zetas and the Pelones do when they don't have to fight over a contested port of entry any longer? When they are free to move about the country?

Do you realize that 5 police chiefs were killed in Monterrey in 2006 alone? I think we all remember the new chief of police for Nuevo Laredo who was assasinated within just hours of taking his post a short while back, yes? Reporters from newspapers and other media forms must hold their tongues or they are silenced - yes, Mexico has an international reputation as being more dangerous for news professionals than even Colombia and is right up there with Iraq.

This is something to think about and consider on top of the others problems of illegal drugs and immigrants. This is something to worry about before that border no longer exists.

It sickens me that the front runners for our next election have not placed a priority on securing our border and addressing the huge issue of millions of undocumented people in our country. It's like 9/11 never happenned and we cannot place safety first. Republicans love the cheap labor for large business and Democrats love the potential huge Hispanic voting block they can cater to with programs paid for out of my pocket.

My god we need to wake up in America. We are creating a second class individual by turning our back on the illegal immigrant. Our leaders turn their back while the ilegals are taken advantage of by employers knowing they are not going to the authorities. Punish the employers and secure the borders and this problem will get fixed fast. What the hell is the reason for a minimum wage increase when it doesn't apply to millions? Why have laws that employers have to abide by when others can skirt around those laws by hiring illegals. How is our law enforcement suppose to track down illegals that commit crimes when we don't even know who they are!
WAKE UP NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. MAKE THIS A PRIORITY EVERYTIME YOU VOTE.

I would love to see someone ask President Bush on live TV, "If our borders allow millions to stream into this country illegally, is it not possible for terrorists to come across with them?" "Don't tell us we are making the USA safer by fighting terrorists over seas while leaving our backdoor unlocked!"

Marge I agree with your resist the NWO comment in more ways than one.

It seems we are headed down the path to a Unification like in Europe with the Euro. The rumor is Canada, the USA, and Mexico will merge to compete with the Euro nations. I have heard a name has already been put forth for the currency called the Amero.

I believe if our country doesn't get control of our finances there will soon be one huge correction on the stock market and the idea of a merge will be presented to the USA as a way to recover and compete in the "Global Economy."

I wouldn't be surprised to see domestic terrorism along the ITC inside the US. These Mexicans better be in some kind of armored convoy if they are going to be taking that many jobs away.

I'm not saying there will be a full scale revolt but there will be a few that are out of jobs, board and very angry and they will be taking up positions on the ITC.

Should be fun to watch...

Don’t you think that our own elected for the people and by the people politicians has not made plans for that possible results . . .

Look how the present administration has passed bills and laws that are trampling our civil rights and constitutional rights under the war on terror, to make possible to use the same laws against his war on terror to target American as terrorist and committing terrorist act for opposing to such measures.

Perhaps now people will see how relevant the war on terror really is when it comes to the plans of the unified American elite and the common American people that oppose those the union.

Couldn't have said it better! Maybe if we used some of that war money to secure our borders we wouldn't have to be so concerned about terrorism. Right now the USA is wide open to terrorists. If they really wanted to take us out and put in a bomb I'm sure they could just walk on over and do their business. That's what makes the "terrorist" plot all to hard to believe. If they wanted us gone, we would be.

Illegal Immigration has been a problem for a long time. This isuue should have been taken care of already. Now that Mexico is lobbying for our laws to conform to their wants, where does that leave us? Screwed, that's where. It's funny I look again at the map and not only does the land run through part of the bible belt, it appears that once again the Native Americans could loose their land for construction of the superhighway.

Believe me the Native American tribes won't mind the highway running through my state in Oklahoma. Our brain dead Governor passed Indian only gaming in our state during his first term and they can't be taxed so the only revenue obtained from the gaming is 10% of the ante on the table. Anyway there are almost 90 casinos in Oklahoma in just three years and we are now the third state in the Union in casino revenue. They are already popping up all along I-35 so more traffic the merrier for the tribes.

What happens when a few of those casinos and reservations happen to be along the plotted path of said superhighway?

Bush Wants "Authority" to Negotiate Free-Trade Policies

Another piece of the puzzle here. Freedom on free trade

With President Bush's constant bending over for Mexico this can only mean more dollars to flow outside of our country. Not to mention we still give Communist China most favored nation trading status. Our trade deficit is ludicrous and more and more manufacturing jobs pour over seas and across our borders so the equivalent of slave labor can keep cheap goods coming our away keeping us fat, happy and stupid.
