The Los Angeles Lakers can wrap up the NBA's Western Conference Finals with a win at
home tonight. LA leads the Minnesota Timberwolves three games to two after Minnesota won game five in Minneapolis a couple of nights ago.
The Timberwolves stayed alive in this series with a 98-96 victory but only six teams in NBA history have managed to overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a
playoff series, with only Miami (1997 vs. New York) and Houston (1995 vs. Phoenix) accomplishing that in the past 23 years.
For the first time during the playoffs and for only the second time this season, All-Star Sam Cassell's injuries kept him out of the starting lineup
and limited him to five minutes for Minnesota in Game 4. He did not dress for Game 5 and is expected to miss Game 6 as well. Still, as long as Kevin
Garnett is in the middle of this chaos, the T-Wolves believe they've got a shot at an improbable comeback.
The confident Lakers enter Game 6 with an 8-0 record at home in the playoffs.
