The Los Angeles Lakers can wrap up the NBA's Western Conference Finals with a win at home tonight. LA leads the Minnesota Timberwolves three games to two after Minnesota won game five in Minneapolis a couple of nights ago.

The Timberwolves stayed alive in this series with a 98-96 victory but only six teams in NBA history have managed to overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series, with only Miami (1997 vs. New York) and Houston (1995 vs. Phoenix) accomplishing that in the past 23 years.

For the first time during the playoffs and for only the second time this season, All-Star Sam Cassell's injuries kept him out of the starting lineup and limited him to five minutes for Minnesota in Game 4. He did not dress for Game 5 and is expected to miss Game 6 as well. Still, as long as Kevin Garnett is in the middle of this chaos, the T-Wolves believe they've got a shot at an improbable comeback.

The confident Lakers enter Game 6 with an 8-0 record at home in the playoffs.

I hope the Timberwolves win the series. Im tired of seeing the Lakers win. It should be a good game though.

Well the Wolves did not play with desire the whole game, and it showed. Several Lakers in foul trouble, but the Wolves would not drive to the net. Guess it does not help that they kept turning the ball over.

The better team won the Series. The Wolves did not deserve to win, they could not hit their shots and just coughed up the ball the other times down the court.

When does football start?

Football is a long time away still.

Wolves couldnt stop Rush and that was the deciding factor in the game, his 6-6 from the 3 point line was the difference maker. Wolves had a brillant season breaking all bad habits, winning the top seed in the west winning two rounds in the playoffs, a lot has been accomplished.

The Wolves played very well against the Lakers, pretty much without one of thier big 3, that shows a lot of heart. I really think that if Cassell would have been healthy the whole series, things would have been different.

But now Malone can get a shot at his ring...
