"The fourth infantry division repelled multiple ambush attacks,"

HOOAH!

Glad to hear some of those overseas are putting to use what they have been taught. Lets hope this improved moral for the others.

Why is information on the Iraq invasion still in the terror section? Or rather how long after its been known that there is no WMD/terrorist ties there, which has been some months now, will these threads be made in this section? Also, Iraqi fighters aren't terrorists.

IMO, all these threads need to be moved to other current events.

Because the catagory says:

War On Terrorism-
Discuss The War On Terror, The War With Iraq & The Situation With N. Korea

Until that changes, this is where that info goes.

Thats great!!! !!! They need to be more aware of what those bastards are planning against them. I think our guys need a little moral support this time of year. Im sure they have been trying to be friendly to the Iraqi population tryin to build trust from what they have been told to do but I would not trust a single individual over there....all they should think about is defending themselves to the teeth and making it back home safely.

Simple, Heelstone. You may prefer to ignore the facts, but that does not mean they are not there. The labs and ingredients have been found, Hussein's ties to terror were known long before the attack, and this is but one segment of the War on Terror.
Take your political bias to the Pit, where you will be squashed like a grape by any number of logical people there.

If my understanding is correct, Fedayeen are not classified as 'official military' units. In such, this would make them "illegal combatants"/ militia / irregulars /and/or terrorists.

Found this on Saddam's Fedayeen:
"Fedayeen Saddam"

and here from globalsecurity:

It would be safe to assume that a variety of mainstream media will 'spin' this story.
I guess they will think twice next time.....*shrugs*

Dreamz....
I was merely making note that with anything and everything, especially in regards to Iraq, the mainstream media will 'interpret' this either by play of words or some other way of making it appear as something other than what it is.

As we all know, media, be it mainstream or independent, have their own agenda's, etc.
Example:
Instead of describing this as a defensive type situation, they may describe it as an offensive 'slaughter' operation and civilians were killed by the Americans, etc.
Stuff like that....I haven't spotted one yet, but be assurded, one or two will go with something like this.
Thats what I meant by 'spin'.

Opps, just found one; here ya go:
"Innocents killed in Samarra bloodbath"
