So far, imho, this has been the most poignant of your dark poetry.
Because of its simplicity. Death is not some mysterious process, but instead something all mortals share. It's as common as a birth.
What truly takes the bite out of death is the knowledge that it is only a portal through which we must all someday go. It is feared by those who
disbelieve in soul and spirit, but accepted by any who do.
For one, it is hopelessness, for the other a great promise.
Personally, such knowledge makes life worth living, no matter what hurdles may confront me, for I can then accept difficulty without fear.
