Hey!

Did there used to be "abovetopsecret.com" email address's?

Are they available now?

If not, is it possible they could be brought back?

I'm on here probably 95% of the time I am on the net. It would be nice to have that address to send my friends.

Good question.

I know they were once available. I read in an old post that the winner of a contest would be awarded with one I believe, so they maybe restricted.

I'd love to hear of the current status on them though.

An AboveTopSecret.com address would look alittle shnazzy I think.

The email address's were discontinued some time ago. At this time I am unaware of any plans on bringing them back, though thats something in the realm of the owners and admin. so you might want to u2u one of them for the definitive answer.

We used to sell email accounts in the ATS store for 15,000 points but the service is no longer available.

So you'd just have an email account like "[email protected]"?

I'd love to have one. Extra promotion for ATS at the same time.

I'd use it. And I would have no problem with spending 15000 points for one, either. That's just some podcasts worth of work to get.

I pay to maintain a couple of my addresses as one might imagine. I use email in a professional capacity everyday.

I would not be opposed to even paying a fee to help maintain the hard/soft ware needed for such an undertaking.

But perhaps it is more trouble than it is worth?

As it was tried once and discontinued, sounds like it may have been.

It was 15,000 points when 15,000 points were hard to come by. At the time the only way to earn points was to post in threads or receive replies to your threads. I think you could earn 5 points max depending on what forum you posted to. In today's points it would probably be 100,000.

Looks like the query has been answered.
