When you are studying UFO accounts and looking at pictures, etc, do you get a creepy feeling of being watched? like a presence in the room when you are alone -
Whether it be day or night?

I'm sorry to say this but if you get freaked out by UFO'S etc I'm not sure this is the right place for you.I'd hate to think ATS is affecting your mental well being.
Just an observation I hope I caused no offence.

Yes, Swinging. It will go away as you get used to it.

UFO's, Aliens and the paranormal can be creepy subjects. I don't recall ever feeling watched while reading materials but of course I recall how creepy some of these topics or stories felt when I first began lo those many, many far too many years ago.

On both the plus and minus side, if you're in the field long enough those feeling will be replaced with healthy skepticism and of course some ridicule, bitterness and frustration...which I admit to being guilty of now and again.

I feel confident in saying that you are not being watched by invisible aliens who know you are researching them or some secret government psyop cabal it's just a very powerful and at times creepy topic.

IMO of course and as always.

Look out behind you!

Just kidding,

Spider

I'm going to go against the grain of this thread and agree with you to a certain extent.

What makes me think your right in a way? well from a very strange encounter that happend to me and my wife on a train to leeds. (UK)

Remember G. Birdsall of UFO magazine ? (R.I.P). Well, we were on the train to leeds when a man sat opposite us took an interest in what we were reading.

(I was reading Alien bases, my wife was reading communion) This man rose to get off the train at a stop before leeds, and as he got off, turned and said this.

" Don't go in too deep or it may come back and haunt you one day". Pointing at my book, he said it was a good read, but if i was to ever travel there to avoid the forests!

Now i get spooked thinking about that day, because as we got to the hotel, we found that G. birdsall had died and the event cancelled. I never did get to sit and tell him about my sighting.

it is a creepy subject. the same thing happens to me when im looking at pictures of spiders, because i have crazy arachnophobia. besides, the greys are really scary looking. i remember the first real show i saw about ufos, which opened my eyes to the subject, was when i was about 9. WAY TOO YOUNG TO BE WATCHING THAT TYPE OF SHOW. anyway it was scary enough watching all the ufo footage, but when they showed the greys, oh my god i was freaked out. i couldnt look out a window at night for the next like 3 years. interstingly enough, it seems like its kind of a primal fear. like something deep inside. greys are creepy, but if you think about theres much more creepy things in this world but i dont get the same kind of reaction.

The UFOs should be called star ships and the aliens should be called star people. They should be looked up to, not feared. I would respect who they are but not let them control my mind too much. Star people can see us from other dimensions and still react to us from there. Spirits(people without bodies) can also react to us. Star people races have differant agendas so some may try and drive fear into you so that you will not go too far in what you are attempting to do or learn. But, many times it may be for your own good. I know that some star people have soul capturing technology so I don't know if spirits are really dead people. Spirits may just be star people acting like dead people. Whatever they are, they can make the area cold in tempature when they are present.
I have experienced similiar overwhelming feelings that became more physical than mental. I have talked to a person regarding the truth before. I didn't feel cold at all at first. And, I was not mentally nervous during the whole communication. As soon as I was explaining the topic, I felt cold and my hands could not stop shaking with nervousness BUT my mind was relaxed and not nervous at all. I was in doors and there was no wind.

Robert Anton Wilson calls where most of us are hanging on the fringes, the Chapel Perilous. The Chapel is not for the squeemish, or the feint of heart. The deeper you get into it, the further from "reality" you get. If you are not soundly based you end up dealing with things that will eat your head. If you doubt that, then read some of the things that pop up on ATS from time to time. Kind of makes you wonder how much further you can get before it becomes a Shriner's circus...

And, please watch out for the forests! ...

Sorry... Couldn't help myself.

I agree. I used to be somewhat normal until i started lurking around ATS.

This place can give you the creeps if not used properly.

You have to ease into it....When you expect a knock at your door in the middle of the night...you know you've been around here too long and should move on.

What you feel is totally normal now.

I want to reply to the last post because it was posted at the same time as mine.
Greys are not creepy. They are people with pupils like you and me. They are seen with black eyes because they wear protective film(like shades) on their eyes. They do this because they are very sensitive to light. They do things for the Reptillians and perform studies with certain people. They need certain samples from human bodies for their health. They need to make grey/human hybrids in order for their race to survive. Pure blood greys have no reproduction abilites. They have survived a very long time by cloning. Their DNA was failing due to cloning too much.
And, guess what humans bodies are?
They are a DNA combination of many alien(star people) races and the primates found on earth. Each human race has a differant alien(star people)/primate DNA combination.
A person in government who attended to an injured grey revealed that the grey had a type A blood type. And, only primates on this planet have human blood types of A, B, AB, and O.
So, now you know that they are also people. I know that the reptillians keep watch over what the greys do. I believe either the greys are forced to act insensitive because the reptillians want the greys to be viewed as evil or the greys at the time of abductions are in pain because they are low in the substance found in human bodies.
Greys make sure humans are not harmed from anything they do. For example, the case of the Travis Walton abduction. He was not abducted before the event. He possibly got radiation from getting too close to the star ship so the greys had to do a radiation check up on him.

Realanswers,

Just curious. I've read a couple of your posts and you seem to know too much.

Who are you? (And what do you want?) wink wink.

I'm not trying to offend you at all. I just have caught on or get a feeling that you are very knowledgeable and i'm intrigued.

Thanks

100% correct in my opinion. It's wierd that this came up just about the time my thread was discussing the same thing. I'd said that these beings seemed to have only as much ability to enter our reality as we give to them.

Now your feeling might be just the creeps because it's inherently a creepy subject. But it could be youre garnering the attention of the enigma by studying it at length. If you back off it, those feelings might subside altogether.

Sounds like the episode of Star Gate SG1 when the group are in an under ground aztec base, and thor is explaining near the exact same thing.

So you intend to help kill off humanity. Swell.

I like the rush of researching these things. 'Creepy' is when you meet a hideous entity and have no clue what it is - when it drags you to its ship for a little DNA-twisting or enslaves you for thousands of years. Invigorating is when you learn what these things are and realize they can be massacred once and for all.

Wow you know so much and yet present no evidence! Please, bless us more with your words of wisdom.

That's what the last 40 years of brainwash human have been served from the tabloids, abduction writters and that kind of stuff. Let me tell you just one thing. You are mistaken. I strongly believe that the population has been fed all that junk to push the moment we accept their peacefull presence.

You sir have watch too many bad movies and played too many video games...

This brings up another point that I was wondering about Saturday whilst watching a documentary about Bellevue hospital in NYC.

I was wondering to myself as I watched a woman talk about how the CIA was watching her and monitoring her in various ways including radio waves of some sort. I wonder how many people here at ATS are actually having severe mental problems and if this website doesn't propagate and/or enable their thoughts and behaviors?

As I watched the woman, immediately my mind flashed to ATS and made me really think about the people here.
