hmmm ok i'll look around and gather some smilies....

i'm not taking requests, i'm just looking to see what brighten up BTS.

other than size are there any other restrictions?

i've seen "this thread is gay" smilies before. i'm sure others have seen other smilies holding up signs saying different stuff.

just wondering before i actually go lurking.

(i now have an official ATS or BTS assignment! woohoo!)

how do i "submit" them for approval? i need an email addy or something....

I want some more additions to the ATS store. It's a bit boring going in there and finding stuff there you have and don't really need. Instead of big things and email accounts and stuff, maybe we can put in some novelty items? Maybe we can buy a mystery grab bag, that can have stuff like more points, free change to your mini profile, or a temp banning
?

Another idea I had was a points slot machine. I noticed that alot of members had heaps of points sitting around, so we can add more fun and functionality to our points by adding that?

I was thinking about having something like a points pool, where everyone could donate a share of their points to the pool and when the pool reaches a certain level, we can add something to the board, like a new forum or something.

I found some html for a chess game the other day. I will have to share that sometime.

BTW...could CTS= cosmic top secret?

maybe not. I dont think they would create a whole board just for the staff and admins...or would they?

Is it possible to have a Boolean search capability?

Thanks for asking us, William.

Hi there ATS admin and other peoples...

any updates on the ideas that were posted as to what we ( the little people) would like to have on ATS ?

I mentioned music... space music, ambient music.. you know.. mood music.

I might even volunteer to research and suggest the different types of music for use ?

thanks, have a super day !

less threats(warnings) from enforcers(moderators) given to people who speak the truth(light bearers) so that ats and bts can thouroughly shine...

by the way what good is it to purchase an expletive if one can't use it for constructive purposes...

in the end it dosent matter...

I want to see an avatar creation forum, we have a post, but i would like to see a seperate forum, in the same vain as collaborative fiction, with member status such as desiger, etc. maybe we could get sophisticated and charge say ten ats points for an avatar creation, which could be charged to the designer.
I have set up a post but would like a greater level of sophistication. i would like to setup a library of stock avatars as well that people can use, but all under the ATs umbrella. i would be willing to get things rolling and organise anything i was able to. What do you think. if you are interested head over to memeber art forum on BTS.

And I hate

How about a forum for videocasts (sort of like podcasts, but with visuals)?

Thanks for input invite.

Sofi, that is by far an excellent idea!

I think that would be very cool, that idea has come up in chat from time to time as well.

Big Sage, I disagree with your request for "fewer threats from moderators." As per the recent thread of moderator Majic, the existence and enforcement of ATS behavior rules is absolutely necessary for discussion to survive at all on ATS. Most online discussion boards are sheer bedlam, due to lack of such rules.

From what I have seen on ATS thus far, the number of occasions where I have seen ATS mods "restate the rules/draw a line in the sand/what have you" have been not just infrequent but rare. And necessary.

As far as requests for future ATS domain enhancements go, since my own background is in systems analysis and software installation, I'd enjoy seeing more coverage of software issues, which doesn't have to be massively technical to be useful to our members and readers. (Example: the recent helpful RFID threads.)

The plan to introduce book reviews in December 2006 sounds great.

Since global climate change will be around for the long term, perhaps some break-out of Loam's "Fragile Earth" supercategory into additional sections could be considered at some point.

Let me give this further thought, and I'll post again later.

I'd like to see less people with preconceived notions calling any and all that do not agree with their own personal reality tunnel disparaging names.

I'd like to see some open mindedness.

I'd like to see less political rhetoric.

I'd like to see more critical thought.

I'd like to see people less willing to take what the media report to us as gospel.

I'd like to see some acceptance that, you know what? We actually don't know very much at all about anything.

I'd like to see less arrogance.

I'd like to see less stereotyping based on gender, race, creed, personal tastes, etc.

I'd like all that on a sesame seed bun, if that's alright with you.

Cheers.

Any chance you might add a forum for ATS members with published work? That's about all I can think of after sifting through this site and its companions. I think the breakdown of categories and subject matter is really quite comprehensive. If I wasn't already here, I would come here.

I'm curious to know exactly how many people with "published work" do you think visit ATS? They want 1,000 "signatures" to create an automotive forum. They're up to 198 supporters after 2 months...
And I'm not sure what "published works" has to do with conspiracies?
Just an observation.
