Here are a couple of my favorites, I couldn't choose which one I like best.
"The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral
inferiority to any creature that cannot."
Mark Twain
"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.
One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise" F. Scott Fitzgerald
"Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without
thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it
may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will"
Frederick Douglass

here r a couple
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath
the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag who allows the protesters to burn the flag."
Father Denis O'Brien, USMC

It's not like you haven't tried before. You can stick your Manifest Destiny up Dubya's ass, I know it is a tight fit with Tony Blair's head in
there, but Bush is always willing to make more room.
