This is exactly what I thought when I saw the title of this thread. I mean the US now has reason to want putin gone.

I think this a more likely scenario. The chasm between the uber-wealthy and the dirt eating poor is growing in Russia. The old hardline communists might be getting ready to stage a revolt of some kind. I never thought the USSR was gone, but just hibernating. Maybe the bear is awakening?
