so many bad movies to choose from, hmmmm, well -

The Thirteenth Floor - about an elevator that becomes sentient and starts killing people by trapping them in itself/closing doors on them, come on hollywood, A KILLER ELEVATOR?????

Titanic - lets face it, this movie sucked, nothing against leo and kate shoulda got her machine gun jumblies out more, but the movie just really sucked, the best bit was when the guy hits the propellor.

Star Wars episode one - I was so dissapointed, it was for kids, that jar jar binks character ruined the entire concept of star wars as far as I'm concerned.

I could go on for days, why don't they make movies like the Godfather, and Apolalypse Now anymore?? Even Al Pacino and Robert Deniro have sold out and are making average flicks these days. One fairly recent movie that kicked A$$ was Ripleys Game, hell yeah, anything with John Malkovitch is generally good, another good actor is James Gandolfini, not just because he is in a kicka$$ show called the Sopranos, but because he can actually ACT REALLY WELL, actually that show is full of good ACTORS, not halfdead talentless hacks like Jude Law and Hugh Grant, and what the hey is with Rap Stars making movies?

Everyone goes on about what a good actor eminiem is, YEAH, WHEN HE IS PLAYING HIMSELF, they ruined the music industry with talentless popstars who have the right image, now they are making a move on hollywood, whats next, ACTING IDOL??

People need to realise that it shouldn't be about image, acting, as well as music should be considered an Artform, not the waste of space that they shovel feed us these days, ITS CALLED TELEVISION PROGRAMMING FOR A REASON PEOPLE..

Come one people, I'm only 21 and I can say with good authority -

GIVE ME MILES DAVIS OVER THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS ANYDAY!

GIVE ME MARLON BRANDO OVER SANDRA BULLOCK AS WELL!

GIVE ME FREEDOM OR GIVE ME A TYRANICAL FORM OF CORPORATE FEUDALISM!!!!!
:bnghd:

This has been my rant.....good to get it out of the system....

AGREED, Ja Ja Binks was a huge mistake for Star Wars - God knows what Lucas was thinking.

In The Bedroom...

Rented it because we heard it won awards...Me, my wife, and my sister-in-law looked at each other after that movie and said, "Well, there's 2 1/2 hours we can never have back"

The all-time STRANGEST movie I've ever seen, and the worst are kind of the same...and you have to see this one, just ...well....because it is so damn strange I am still haunted by it. One word:

Gummo

Please watch it...and it helps to not ask many questions what the hell is going on. Man the scene of the retarded kid curling spoons still freaks me out.

On the maxim list they have this:

26. Godzilla (’98)
Can you imagine how many toy makers wanted Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich’s heads on a platter after this colossal load was pinched out on the moviegoing public? When a movie is so bad that little kids aren’t interested in plastic lizards that breathe fire, you know you’re in trouble. But how could this have flopped? It starred Matthew Broderick!

Personally, I liked the newer Godzilla... I wouldn't have expected it in a top 50 worst movies... especially a number 26.

They also have:

10. Little Nicky (’00)
Adam, Adam, why hast thou forsaken us? Just when we’d learned to appreciate The Waterboy and Happy Gilmore as unpolished comic gems, you went all high-concept, playing a mush-mouthed spawn of Satan. Too bad that between all the special effects and cameos you forgot to stick in a single funny gag.

I guess unless you like Adam sandler you may not lie this, but this, in my opinion, is a pretty good movie.

On the other site

They too have Godzilla listed. As well as Independance Day, Mars Attacks!, Police Academy, and a few others that I think are pretty good movies.

I'm just glad both realized the genius in SpaceBalls and Monty Python and the Holy Grail and left them off the list unlike so many others I have read.

two come straight to mind:

Gods and Generals: Ted Turner's absolute waste of money, and my waste of time...3 1/2 hours of..pain...

and

ZARDOZ: all I can really remember about this one is that it starred a younger Sean Connery, in waist-length hair and a loincloth, in some kind of bizzarre relationship with a giant stone head which had fallen from the sky... . maybe the ladies liked it... .

and, now that I think about it:

Little Shop of Horrors:

It just went on toooooo lonnnnnngggg... .

One of the worst movies that I have ever seen in my entire life has to be Punch Drunk Love. Also, I think all of the three prequils of Star Wars sucked the big one. The CGI animation totally ruined it for me. How are you going to make a prequil to a movie with the technology in it being way ahead than the original movies. It just doesn't make sense. Anyway, my last crappy movie has to be Titanic; the boat sank, get over it!!!!

No Pauly Shore movies on that Maxim list?! I find it rather difficult to believe anyone can really remember the worst movie (why finish it?!) but I need to agree with the guy who said "Fantasia." Also, I'll add my own entry to the list: "House of Wax" - thankfully I didn't pay the $10 for a ticket and $4 for parking to see it in a theater!

I saw this movie not too long ago. I thought it was just awful. It was definitely a strange movie.

Another bad movie I've seen was Beethoven's 4th. It was just.......bad.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this one yet:
Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS
I'm proud to say I walked out of this morally bankrupt, degenerate, completely incompetently-made piece of cinematic vomit. It's one of two movies in my life that I've bailed on. The other is:
Summer Lovers
The most boring, un-erotic soft porn Daryl Hannah movie in the history of our galaxy. :bnghd:

And, lest we forget, Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla can actually make one's eyeballs bleed. Avoid at all costs.

a lot of you people are naming off really good movies.

how anyone can call Donnie Darko or Mars Attacks! a bad movie with schlock like Gigli and House of Wax around is far, far beyond me.

Shanghai Surprise-- starring Sean Penn and Madonna. OMG what a mess!

Speaking of Shanghai, Shaghai Noon with Jackie Chan was pretty awful stuff.

Also, In no particualr order:

Wild Wild West

LOTR- Do NOT get me started! Peter Jackson should be tarred and feathered for what he did to that story--Tolkein is still spinning in his grave over that one.

Troy- What was up with that? Terrible!
