Interesting information from 1966:

A call was received from a girl, that days before, had found Paul near her house, wandering along a hill in a confused state with a damaged leg but without documents and money.

Brian Epstein went to retrieve Paul and on Sunday they started their trip to return home.
But from that day we heard no more news about them for days.

It was very early in the Wednesday morning of the week after we received the call, but not the one we had been waiting for.
We were called out to identify Paul's body, found on a beach near Outreau, North France.

Billy Shepherd was also known as Neil Aspinall and he was "Billy Shears" from the Beatles song and also Billy Pepper....aka Sgt. Pepper....

Billy went through plastic surgery and singing lessons to replace Paul MacCartney and take on the role of Paul (not just replace him).

Quite a conpiracy here. If this is true, we've had a look-alike Paul McCartney for the last 40 years!

I thought this one had been put to bed. It's been around since the early seventies. Among other clues, Paul's bare feet and his being out of step were supposed to signify Paul's death.

That must have been an interesting scene at Lindas death bed.
"Paul....I mean Billy...uh....please take care of the kids. I love you so much Billy....uh...Paul.....uh....."
Wouldn't she have noticed certain physical differences as well. The plastic surgery would have fooled someone facially but other characteristics wouldn't.
They would also have had to duplicate his mental process'. This might prove especially difficult since no two people think exactly alike. And replicating his talent is absolutely impossible.
I'll play the record backwards again and see if any other conspiracies are evident.

Well, I don't care if Paul was replaced. This "Billy" person wrote some pretty good songs, including but not limited to, "Live and Let Die."

She and Paul were having marital troubles and she was actually cheating on Paul with Billy Shepherd when the accident happened. So, Linda was glad to go along with the charade. There was obviously a lot of money at stake!

Um, no, actually. Linda Eastman,of Eastman Kodak, 's family money was a hell of a lot more than (Sir) Paul's.

And which pioneering British plastic surgeon did the work on "Billy"?

In the Sgt. Pepper mythos, Ringo was Billy Shears. The end of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" ends with"The one and only Billy Shears" and segues into "A little Help from my friends" sung by Ringo.

This is just an ssumption. Plus, should "Paul" have sang when they announced the name Billy Shears? That may have been a little too in your face for them to feel comfortable with.

And for the poster before this....finding the doctor(s) that performed the plastic surgery would take some work indeed. I'll see what i can come up with!

LOL Neil Aspinall was the Beatles road manager and later he ran Apple Corps, the Beatles company.

Sorry but Paul isn't dead, a lot of people who new him from before the Beatles formed (including child hood friend Neil Aspinell) would have something to say about this wouldn't you think?

My theory is the whole Paul is dead thing was a dig at Paul. In 1966 Paul had pretty much taken over control, which caused a little resentment from the other three. Paul is dead meant he had totally accepted the commercialism of the Beatles and thrived in it. The other three not so much, especially John who really wanted to be still a rough rock band, as they were before Epstein put them is suits, which Paul was the only one who really supported this. That was when the resentment towards Paul started.

John felt Paul wasn't pushing any boundaries with his music and just writing muzak to sell records.

There are a lot of little digs at Paul in Johns' songs and digs at John in Pauls' songs. Especially in their solo stuff.

So Sgt. Pepper took you by surprise
You better see right through that mother's eyes
Those freaks was right when they said you was dead
The one mistake you made was in your head
Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?
You live with straights who tell you you was king
Jump when your momma tell you anything
The only thing you done was yesterday
And since you're gone you're just another day
Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

A pretty face may last a year or two
But pretty soon they'll see what you can do
The sound you make is muzak to my ears
You must have learned something in all those years
Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

I heard that he was killed in 66 in a crash and replaced by someone called Tom Campbell? Theres loads of You Tube vids about this, I think it's all rubbish though and The Beatles went along with the 'clues' in their album covers and songs for a laugh.
Here's a vid comparing pre 66 pics with later ones:

An interesting site. Check out the pictures. Paul McCartney suddenly grew taller, his voice changed, he forgot how to play bass properly, suddenly played righthanded in India, and other stuff. And of this happened right after The Beatles had held a Paul McCartney lookalike competition, and they've never announced the winner. Hmmm...

Officially Pronounced Dead? - The Great Beatle Death Conspiracy

There is an unusual scene in the Anthology 7 video / DVD where Paul is shown playing guitar right handed. The particular scene can be found approximately 50 minutes in where Paul is talking about writing the song 'I Will'. This particular song is playing as the scenes are shown. Of course we have to ask why Paul is playing right-handed here. According to the story, Paul's replacement William Campbell was a right-handed guitar play who had to learn how to play left-handed for public appearences. Maybe, since he was in remote India he felt he could let his guard down and play with his more comfortable stance?

However, from 1967 onwards Paul no longer seemed to be the same height as John or George and actually looked like he was at least 2 inches taller!

Very intesting read, thank you very much. I would not have given any creedence to the OP post, but after reading the article I kind of think it is possible, the plastic surgery thing in the 60s would be the problem, but what do we really now..., a ton of money could do miracles at that time (also today).

Ever thought that maybe those pictures are just reversed?

You should also note his guitar is a right handed model turned upside down to play LEFTY.

One thing Paul had a gift for was imitating other singers voices.
He was very good at this, and is still good at this...

It would take a long time to find a replacement for Paul McCartney.

William Campbell is who I read replaced him too. I've also heard the rumours that he suddenly grew 4 inches or so around the supposed time of his death.
As an experienced (right handed) guitarist, there is no way I could ever play left handed. Sure I could probably learn to, but if "Paul McCartney" can play both, something's up. I have never known a guitarist to waste time learning how to play right and left handed. IMHO, you would only do it if you had to.

Try reading my post above...

He wasn't playing right handed. As a guitarist you should see in the pick why it's obvious the pic was reversed.

Maybe that picture is mirrored like you said. Actually, the hair parting to the "wrong" side also supports the idea that it must be a mirrored picture.

Anyway, the text says he appears to be playing right handed in a video. There's also another video in existance, where George is trying hard to teach "Paul" to play a simple riff on the bass. After trying numerous times, "Paul" just can't get it right. It was a "simple" riff, and Paul (who used to be a skilled bass player) couldn't play it. I'm not really trying to defend the "Paul is dead" conspiracy here, but ... no smoke without fire...

If anyone remember the video coming up. Paul McCartney is playing right handed.

Here something you should think about. The only person that can replace Paul McCartney, is Paul McCartney. So, if Paul McCartney was kill back in 1966. The person that had replace him, would had been a Paul McCartney from a parallel universe. And this would had be kept secret.
