Um... There is nothing "paranoid" about it. This entire site is extremely liberal leaning. I can count the number of conservative thinkers on this site on my finger tips. Diversity of opinion, skepticism and the crucible test of logic are all akin to science and structured pathology to answers - something ATS members have uniformly by virtue of choosing to discuss politics on a sight that also hosts science/paranormal/environmental/historical subject matter. The text book archetypes to conservative and liberal thought are that conservative arguments look to justify a point and how to maintain a certain state or return to a prior state. Liberal arguments proceed in the aforementioned style.
The ongoing gambit is the devil in the details of definitions; "Conservative Thinkers" are numerous on ATS and the author's of most of the quality posts. The filter of the self serving FoxNews definition of 'conservative' is the only one applicable that would make your statement true. Then and only then can well worn colloquialisms of ".....enemies closer” & "culture war" & all such nonsense, be aptly applied.
"Sorting through garbage" - given the FoxNews filter on perception that was ushered into ATS, that equates out to opposing opinion to the status quo, and all reminders or exhortations that there are illegal actions afoot by this administration. The “ignore” button is insurance for ignorance that enables the filter.
So here we are talking about Coulter and equating her to the fascist’s version of Michael Moore. Yet, if Coulter did things like Moore and asked why the 30 odd bin Laden family members were given flight privileges to cris cross America on 9/12 when all else was grounded, as well as numerous House of Saud officials, or asked again like Moore why Jack Abramoff was meeting with the Administration team 200 times in their first 3 months in office, then Coulter’s histrionics might be excused.
Instead, she’s a plug & play megaphone for crowd control ignorance, and you’re sucking it up like mothers milk.

For example - I think Anne Coulter is entertaining. I happen to think Jon Stewart is entertaining also. Each has their own bias which makes for a very comfortable life for them. Good for them.

Do I agree with Anne Coulter? Sometimes I do. And sometimes I agree with Jon Stewart. And Bill Maher. Does that mean that I "openly support her" as has been stated here? That's just a false allegation from someone who can't think logically, and must resort to pictures of dolls to get his point across.

Do I support her first amendment right? Do I laugh at grown "men" who whine and cry about Anne Coulter? You bet I do!

Occasionally my scorn for the whiners gets mis-translated into "open support" for Anne, but that's OK. I just consider the source.

I still think the term "numerous" is a bit of an exaggeration. Not even the non "Fox News" definition. That's my opinion.

You can count the Number of Conservative Thinkers on your fingertips? WOW! you really don't read too much into peoples' post do you? Seriously I'll go as far as say that Most people are Open minded on this site. And i'll even give you as much and say that People on here tend to lean on the left quite a bit from a certain perspective.

But i'll tell you this , You don't have to insult others, belittle them, Degrade them to show what side you sit politcally or to be conservative!

before coming to this site i was ignorant enough to think I had a good view on what people usually thought, and how predictable they were in what they believed.

I've seen people that consider themselves "Conservative" "REligious" "Liberal" "Spiritiual" "Psychic" "Abductee's" "Socialist" "Communist" "Republicans" "Democrats" "Ederly" "Juvenille" "Crazy" and "Just Normal" show me a thing or two about real opnions, Truly Logical, well thought out, Opnions. it shows me that no one and I mean NO ONE is Truly 100% this side or that. No matter how many or little colors are in your spectrum of view.

As for "Keeping your friend's close and YOur Enemies closer", This site is generally for people who can Think outside of the box. And just cause they have a different view of what is outside that box, Doesn't mean they are your enemie or that they are wrong, It just means that they See something different.
