I'd love to help out a new member at ATS/BTS/PTS(even if I rarely go to PTS). I've been here for a while and I think it's tiem to stop idling for hours on end in chat and give back to the community.

I still have a lot to learn myself - but I'll help out. ...My strengths are writing, editing, proofreading.

Great idea.

I'll volunteer. I don't know how much I can help, but I'll give it a shot and do what I can.

New members are not always patient waiting for their "Mentor" to come online or answer a U2U or post a reply. When I was in counsil, I suggested a chatroom for new members, so they could ask questions and get answers immediately. In this way "Mentors" could either sit in the new member chatroom and wait for any questions or enter chatroom when they see a member in chat.

Doing this will keep the number of mentors to a minimum, your way will take a lot of mentors and the number will grow yearly.

Like a live support line, you find at many company sites.

Well, I'm willing to join the program, and help newer members out.

Since I realise how disconcerting being a new member here can be.

I haven't been around as long as some of the people here, but I do visit ATS alot, and I pretty much "know the ropes".

I might not be famous for insanely awesome posts, but I've been here a while, and I have a good understanding of the way things work. And I've adopted a newbie before, so I've got some expirience doing this sort of thing.

So yeah, count me in.

All my adopties have gone missing under mysterious circumstances, but sure I'll help. I could go for a good meal...err, I mean apprentice. Ya, that's what I meant!

By mysterious circumstances you must mean kidnapping.

I'll volunteer to be a mentor for a new member as I was once a very active new member who burned out and I would like to share my experience so that others don't do the same.

What happened to all your points? Do they all go away after a certain amount of down time?

As far as mentoring goes, I've mentored many a person who've gone on to have very successful careers in the janitorial and lawn maintenance fields. If you apply yourself you can accomplish anything.

Peace
