Don't be so hard on yourselves. Some threads need to be killed.

Don't you hate that?

I've had one or two like that. No response...not even crickets. Very disconcerting.

I've killed a couple this week, most proud of the Queen's birthday one

Can I reserve a seat?

I think I may be guilty.
(pink avatars should stay out of the mud pit)

20 minutes and no response in what was a busy thread.

You're not feeling guilty for killing a thread are you?

Please Don't.

Some conversations need to be shut up and shut down.

The politically correct sometimes need to be embarrassed into silence by speech that is in-you-face, honest, truthful, brutal and as politically incorrect as the T's and C's here will allow. Get medieval on their a**. Screw the social standards and speak your mind.

I know it's only the internet (What does arguing on the internet and participating in the special olympics have in common? You can win, but you're still "special".) but you never know when someone's online opinions directly reflect their offline opinions and you never know how influential they might be. When that is the case and you shut someone down for being a douche, a troll or wrong on a level that has negative offline social implications, you did a good thing for the forum it was on and possibly the part of society that the opinion reflected.

And no, I'm not asking permission to be a part of TKA. I was a "thread killer" before there was an internet.

I'm just a dik that way.

Threads sucking up to an hereditary constitutional monarch can die in my opinion.
I'll keep stabbing that one if it so much as twitches.

I'm often like that with employee evaluations.

Wise move, sick pay, holiday pay, pension and other benefits, make the peasants dance for it.
Preferably to psy-trance.

No. It's more like an openly gloating thread...

...and it's apparently one that will never, ever die, seeing as Zaph started it two full months before I joined ATS.

It's the thread that will never die. They'll be posting in it long after we're gone.

You can have my seat if you wish. I'll stand up.

I'm a threadkiller but I'm also a gentleman. Like James Bond.

It wasn't meant to degenerate into a sucking contest.

To be honest, I'm kind of glad you killed the thread. In fact I tried to kill it myself but I was too late.

Hm, the way I'm speaking about it, you'd think there was a vampire festival or something, lol

Hello everyone. I think I've unofficially, officially joined ThreadKillers Anonymous.

If you've got yourself a nice thread that you want put to rest, just invite me in, and I'll be sure to clear out the thread
