OK, I'll bite, well maybe not just yet! Perhaps I'll just unleash my feared Ninja Kitty Fleas and chase you from our Clubhouse.

You, Sir, had damned well better explain your reason for waking me and more to the point, didn't you see the TKA Clubhouse sign on the fence - No hawkers, No carpetbaggers, No door to door salesmen - especially magazine sellers?

Still don't know what a threadkiller is... Is it like the black ops version of a mod? Closing/derailing threads while supplying plausible deniability to the site admins? I think I've seen your work. Someone starts a thread. A couple of knuckleheads come in and start an argument with eachother that is comprised of 99% off topic posts that are never removed but always succeed in getting a mod to have to come in and close the thread due to unruly behaviour while making sure to take extra care not to ban or otherwise punish the actual offenders... Am I close?

The term is being used to describe someone who makes the last post in the thread.
Like a man who enters a room and finds that the conversation suddenly stops.

Far from it, young sir.

There is nothing sinister in our methods unless you call cold, sound logic, undeniable facts and expert subject matter knowledge black ops.

Over the years we have responded to threads that were floundering on little more than Wiki, Google or other misinformation peddled by those following their (or somebody else's agenda) who continually turn the OP's thread in to little more than a Nazi German slanging match until our carefully researched replies brought the bickering and thread to a halt.

Usually when one side in an argument shows superior knowledge or has hands on experience of the subject matter at hand, one is usually able to route the faker and 'wannabe' or dreamer in a matter of minutes. Thus threads tend to wither and die in the face if superior knowledge because the faker cannot respond.

Take two of these, and call someone in the morning. And if that doesn't work, beat someone repeatedly about the head and shoulders until you feel better.

For me, the moment is when I was looking at the front page of a forum, and realizing that my name was on every thread as the last post. That's when I knew....I was a threadkiller.

I've found that beating people about the head and shoulders works best. The pills are more for our amusement. They have great side effects.
