Council Elections Coming SOON!!

We have decided to go forward with the Council.

1. You can announce your candidacy in THIS THREAD ONLY.
2. No politicking in this thread, simply announce that you want to run.
3. STAFF members are NOT eligible for Council positions.
4. Current Councilors are eligible for candidacy.
5. I am tired of using the word candidacy
6. Senior Staff will present the rest of the "procedural guidelines" for the election by Monday September 19, 2005.
7. The representation, by forum groups, currently in place will remain.
8. Senior Staff retain the right to alter these rules as needed to assure a smooth and enjoyable election process.
9. Let's have FUN and GET AFTER IT!

ONLY announcements of those who wish to run should be posted in this thread.

EDIT - There will NOT be "assistant" positions any longer, it's only the elected Councilors.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the positions are:

- ATS X Council Person: ATS alien, UFO, Science, etc. forums
- ATS G Council Person: ATS gov, NWO, conspiracy, etc. forums
- ATSNN Council Person: ATSNN issues
- ATS DISC Council Person: DISC Representitive
- BTS Council Person: All BTS forums
- PTS Council Person: All PTS forums
- ATS Council Person At Large: Helping where needed

Edit: I'd run for "wherever you deem fit to stick me", which is not only appalling grammar but is annoyingly ambiguous too. I'd probably do better with more coffee...

After being initially skeptical about this whole process I just love the way things turned out. Even though I came in a distant 3rd in the Runoff against Hellmutt and Ycon, I think I can do better this time if I actually campaign

ATS X council or DISC council is what I'd like to run for.

I am deleting any posts that are NOT announcements by members of their candidacy.

Politicking will start AFTER we have a full slate of candidates NOT before.

It was nice being ECK's assistant, so I hate to gun for his job, but I'm gonna.

Count me in for PTS candidate.

Finally somewhere to put my management skills to good use. Also I am applying for a Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and/or computer engineering, so I have an extensive knowledge in science and technology. Also I'm heavily into astronomy.

I will be running for X Council.
