Mui, mui cool... hecho in New Mexico!
Congrats Gov. Richardson...
This is one Canuck who believes that Gov. Richardson would be a President of the People, for the People...
and would find out what's really up with Roswell, Dulce, LANL and the UFO/Alien thing.

Richardson can't be considered to be 'for the people' because he's controlled by narrow and local interests, as with Yucca Mountain. The american people need a national repository, not a private spaceport. New Mexico will benefit from these things, but not the nation. Anyway, he does deserve credit for being forward thinking. New Mexico seems an odd choice for a spaceport tho. The US uses Cape Canaveral because if there is an emergency then the crash will most likely be over water.

Hmmmm, faith in Bill "Speedy" Richardson? He may look good from North of the border, but to us residents of New Mexico he is the same old phony politician he's always been. Clear up LANL? Who do you think was the Secretary of Energy when LANL was putting secret hard drives up for sale on eBay and pipe lining W-88 technology to the Chinese? As for your exuberance over the "spaceport" try and find any "concrete" information on it's location or infrastructure.

Here's the best you can find:

ww1.edd.state.nm.us.../about/category/Space%20Commercialization/

Try and GoogleMaps "Upham, NM."

Usually this kind of hot air is only found at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque.

Pipe Dream Monkeys, not just for miles of empty high desert anymore...

... Hot air indeed. The X-Prize cup is being held in Las Cruces and Alamogordo, New Mexico October 6th through the 9th, in about a month from now. Why not choose one of those places which is hosting this tourney(hopefully it will become a fine American tradition)

It's the Countdown to the X Prize Cup (basically a convention of sorts), you can't even fly commercially in to Las Cruces, you have to fly into El Paso Texas, about 40 miles South. Some "International Spaceport." Alamogordo is no better, they are still rejoicing at getting their only WalMart upgraded to a 24 hour "Super"
I'm sure the U.S. Air Force just can't wait to get those pesky F-117's out of the way for "Speedy" and his commercialization of what has been a Federal installation for over 60 years.

p.s. You can't fly into Alamogordo either, nice drive by rental from El Paso though, through the "Organ."

Directions Monkeys, not just for "you can't get there from here" anymore...

Yeah, all UFO/ET buffs should get out and vote for Richardson for President. I bet he'd try his best to get the truth out.

Well in this case if there is an accident the wreckage will land in Old Mexico and no one will really give a rats arse

Still, this is seriously kewl. Free enterprise will take us further then the government ever will when it comes to the final frontier.
