They did, however, give him biological agents, such as Botulism-causing toxins, for "medical purposes", I believe.

You mean for "Medical Purposes" such as "Healing the Kurdish People"?

Mister Crowne, We both know that Reagan Administration supplied Saddam with all the needed components to make Biological Weapons.

Who cares if they sold them in separate parts and not in one package?

Does it really matter, if those components eventually ended up in bombs, that were dropped on Kurdish People?

This is the same lawyer that stepped down tho, no? The head of his defense team? ALso, this is not the legal defense that they are mounting, its just him talking to the papers. More likely hussein's defense will be that his officers did it without his consent.

Erm, no, Nygdan, this is not the same lawyer.
The lawyer that you refer to is Khasawenah. The lawyer that made these absurd claims, Issam Ghazzawi, is simply a member of the same defense team that Khasawenah quit from.

Furthermore, for those who insist that this was strictly an Iranian doing, not likely. The Kurds were allied with the Iranians. As such, Iranian soldiers were photographed dead among those gassed Kurds.

From:
Dictator's legacy one of violence and fear

Bodies of Iranian volunteer soldiers lie in a village 160 miles northeast of Baghdad in 1988. They had been fighting alongside Kurds against Saddam's regime and had been protesting a chemical bomb attack in the town. Saddam was known to have used chemical weapons against Kurds.
