the illuminati myth

if there are illuminati, they know more as much more than us about reality than we know more about the simpsons than a garden slug. hello?, ...they're "illuminated". they know more. way more. they could easily hide and play games with the minds of the children(us).

there is plenty of evidence. whoever says there isn't hasn't looked. mind you, the true nature of the beast, if it exists, may be very different than most conspiracy buffs think.
jesus was killed by the romans(bureaucracy). his life is a mystery(i'm not going to argue with "christians" about this. history has distorted the truth, ...sorry, but it's true).
the church of jesus(the jesuits) have been pulling strings backstage for hundreds of years. they are mysterious.
what i'm saying is, don't be so sure about ANYTHING. people who believe something, have closed the door to the truth. the truth changes depending on your perspective. a mouse thinks an owl is evil, but we know that it is nature in balance.
as jesus(one of my favourite guys) said, "judge the tree by it's fruit".
if the illuminati gave us america, they can't be all bad.

IMO, the various "plot holes" in official versions of world events are proof that there is somebody behind the scenes pulling the strings.
Their strongest and most powerful weapon is apathy of people, complete lack of interest in details. Most people watch about 15 mins of news daily, if any, and dont actually care whats going on. They do not question the validity of information, they do not care about reasons and motives, they just want their nice comfortable life and next blockbuster in cinema.
To control the world, you dont have to literaly establish dictatorship and control every single individual, you just have to control or influence the key point of society: MEDIA. By controling the media you are able to breed generations of folowers, and to pick a few of them to be leaders.
To have such control over information source you need MONEY, thats where Corprations come into play.

This is just a simplified explanation of world hierarchy, mind you. It gets very complex when you apply it to 200 nations, 6 billion people, hundreds of media companies, etc,etc, AND it doesnt always work 100%, informations leak, actions fail, after all, even those who control the world are only humans.

Now, it is possible that a group of people has realised this long time ago, and have decided to put it into practice. That would be Illuminati for example.

you got it. except for the it being difficult part. it is actually easier in a sattelite enviroment. people who have no food or water in the middle of the deserts in eurasia all have access to MTV. it's the cult of cool. peer pressure on a global scale.
this media mind control is best epitomized by the bible. i'm not saying that there is no truth in the bible(i actually happen to know there's TONS of truth in there). it is the spin doctors of the vatican and their ilk that have steered the collective mind of man for centuries and centuries with thier dogmatic interpretations of the bible.
even jesus' way was a "new world order" back then. he was a jew, but broke many of the sacred dogmatic practices regarding the sabbath and whatnot.
i think there's a pretty good chance that he was a rebel(whether actual or media hype) from the "old boy's club" which has been around since the sumerians.
this is "the illuminati". bloodlines of power running back into time immemorial. the name may have changed many times, but you might as well just call them illuminati for communication's sake.
did you know bush is related to the queen(put his picture beside prince charles, and you can see the family resemblence)?

i can't see them as shmucks, though. insufficient data.
what if they really DO have "the plan", divinely guided through the ages.
do we tell our children the mechanics and emotional impact of sexual intercourse? do we tell them that the land they stand on was stolen in an evil bloody genocide?
so, if to god, we are children, then would the "illuminated" ones not have good reason to keep us in the dark? perhaps we are not ready (or are just coming into "puberty") for the deeper truths of reality.

many of the leading thinkers and inventors throughtout history were connected to the lodge. da vinci, bacon(shakespeare), mozart, the founding fathers were all high degree masons....those are just a few off the top of my head.
so were these guys let into the inner circle because of their genius, or were they born into it, and schooled in the ancient esoteric mysteries.

I am strongly in the 'nothing but hot air' camp. I believe that many of the conspiracies are real, like Pearl Harbour, TWA 800, JFK, MLK Jr., etc. This is not evidence of the 'Illuminati'. It is evidence that those who are in power, wish to remain so. And are not afraid to bend the rules to do it. Backdoor dealings and collusion are to be expected, since they seem to be the rule rather than the exception. Illuminati? Not buying it.

As I kinda expected, there hasn't been any evidence presented that this group exists in any meaningful or impactful way...

I agree with the commonly-held perception. They were around once upon a time, but no longer.

Of course, the reality is much less interesting than the perpetuation of the myth, so I can't fully blame those who revel in the concept of a circle of puppetmasters directing the world from their lofty eyries.
