It is not 'aid'. That is just a label.

Every penny will have to be repaid, with interest, % not known to me at this time. BIS will be involved and will get their 'cut', an ongoing return until the 'aid' is settled.

Short term, US based MIC businesses will benefit with new contracts for their products. This may mean more jobs and increased liquidity in US markets.

Median term, as above with repayments on the horizon.

Long term,
1) all 'aid' repaid with interest and BIS and it's fat cats growing ever corpulent in the process.
2) Ukraine may gain Russian territory and natural resources for US to exploit via trade deals and renegotiations of said 'aid' agreements.

It's not like it's all cash, though.

It's more of an accounting exercise for the "value" of weapons supplied.

Like stuff that would have been decommissioned, at considerable cost anyway.

Bingo! In my case (and I don't support it) it's job security
