Can't be a Fema camp.
"Palestine" (which doesn't exist) was set up by the UN and Britain.

Ignorance begone.

People who had homes in the area known as Palestine were forcibly moved to allow Israelites to move into the area. I don't see how this wouldn't infuriate a large portion of those people who were moved to allow Israelis to have their land. The allotted land for the "Palestinians" was shrunken to the point of ruining their independence. I don't advocate violence but it also doesn't shock me that they resorted to it.

I also don't understand the Christian defense of Judaism, they refuse Christ as Messiah.

I don't see how anyone can support anyone who cheers the deaths of babies and the raping of women.

I believe both Israel and Palestine are wrong. I do not support the actions of either of the nations.

I'm not excusing Hamas. I'm saying there is a reason they attacked Israel beyond their inherint anti-semitism. Furthermore, I'm saying we should not be excusing the many deaths of Palestinians because of Hamas' actions.

It's basically one arguement ; Israel's actions doesn't excuse Hamas' terrorism on Israeli civilians and Hamas' actions do not excuse Israel's oppression and killing of Palestinians.

But if you don't examine why this occured, then it will continue to occur. And if Israel's only response is to kill droves of Palestinians and increase opression in the future then no doubt that this will occur again.

You can't even have a 2-state solution when the Muslims living in Gaza don't even recognize Israel as a State.

And you can't have a two state solution when Israel doesn't recognize Palestinians as fellow human beings. Israel doesn't want to give Palestine freedom either.

Perhaps its time to stop funding Israel as they don't seem to ever want to change. Tax dollars can be better used than giving money to a country that seems set on having indefinite war and subjectation of Palestinians.

Israel has the most power so they should be the ones initiating a serious attempt at peace. That doesn't condone Hamas.

Little hint, if you stop trying to kill all the Jews, maybe they'll be a wee bit more receptive.

Apologies for the likely ignorant questions.

What is the point and purpose of the Gaza Strip and West Bank then?

I'm fine with reducing or ceasing funding to Israel, as I am with Ukraine.

I don't understand this. As it is surrounded and often targeted by Muslim nations terror attacks and are called out exclusively for eradication by Iran and Hamas. Can you elaborate?

Not saying it’s interpreted correctly or followed for the right motives but this seems to be the verse used.

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Genesis 12:3

Two things that are suspicious.
My lovely Justin Trudeau and other despot leaders jumped on the band wagon very quickly and when I compare this to the Ukraine thing I see an odd comparison with people switching sides using the same arguments.

How bout you take a baby step and stand against terrorists beheading infants?

What makes you think I support that?

I asked a very straight forward question that no one in this thread has chosen to answer, or even acknowledge.

I have a serious question for many of you in this thread:

Is there any way to be critical of Zionism and or the country of Israel’s geopolitical interests without being an antisemite? If I haven’t openly called for violence against Jews, should I be called an antisemite?

Please note I am not supporting the actions of either side in this conflict.

I’ll give it a go.

Zionism is definitely a political believe, which, if I recall, started out quite socialist.

You can be a Jew without being a Zionist.

Is being Jewish a race or a religion?

Dunno, there are Ethiopian Jews, Russian Jews, and I believe, even Chinese Jews.

There are many Jews that are critical of Zionism.

So, I’d say, yes, you should be able to criticize a political belief without being an antisemite.

🤷‍♂️

Actually, both the Jewish and Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet.

Judaism denies Christ as the Messiah, whereas Islam accepts Christ as a prophet and the Messiah (Al-Masih):

"The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him." from Him.]Surah 4.171

The main difference is they don't believe He died nor do they call him the Son of God. Islam has maintained the servant mentality towards God all the way back to their founding father Ishmael. Ishmael was born of the slave woman of Abraham, rather than being Abraham's 'true' son. I think this is interesting that now Islam believes they are mere servants of God, whereas Christians, the spiritual children of Abraham, believe we are sons of God.

Judaism on the other hand rejects Christ as Messiah. The Jewish Talmud has some unspeakable things to say about Jesus that I don't even feel comfortable posting. It's some extreme blasphemy: Jesus in the Talmud
