Uranus as you've never seen it before , James Webb has taken a look at the far flung planet using its NIRCam, its Moons and rings have also been imaged but this , is a rather cool , picture of Uranus.

The icy, gelid world, at first glance, looks fairly unremarkable, but the closer you look, the weirder – and more beautiful – it gets.

But you have to look beyond the colors our own eyes can detect, in which Uranus appears to be a relatively featureless orb of pale blue. In thermal imaging, for example, comprising radio and infrared wavelengths, scientists have been able to measure the physical properties of Uranus' faint, icy rings.

WOW, Uranus is Blue! And so are the rings!
Is this indicative of elemental reflection?
It's been a long time since I took Chem 202, but I believe the element H+, reflects blue.

What a great Image.
The rings are so perfectly arranged.
Getting the "simulated univese" vibe again.
It also reminded me of a blue Hal9000

It's a very beautiful image of Uranus, a fantastical sight to behold.

Staring at it for a long while really adds context to our surrounding space and solar system.

Uranus is one of two ice giants in the outer solar system (the other is Neptune). Most (80% or more) of the planet's mass is made up of a hot dense fluid of "icy" materials – water, methane, and ammonia – above a small rocky core.

Since we are on a conspiracy site.

How can the rest of us even be positive that is factually Uranus, huh? Where is the time stamp?

Could this just be another “tweaked” photo by NASA? Questions that need answering.

I can't wait till 2234 when we finally change the name of the planet from Uranus to Urectum...

It is one of the more unfortunately named planets...

Maybe a certain crazy billionaire can lead a crewed mission there, and rename it Muskopia.

That's a beautiful image! But i must say that considering Webb can see into the farthest depths of the universe i'd expect up close razor sharp quality of a pimple Uranus.

Check this pic of Venus, I was hoping the Uranus pic would be more like this.

That would be SAL 9000, from the sequel, 2010:

You're right; the OP image does look a lot like that!
