well, that escalated quickly

Interesting to see what's on your mind.
It just goes to show: one shouldn't have much expectations.

But well, one thing is being happy, another thing is being deluded. If being deluded is what it's about, then let's just get lobotomized, heroin connected through IV, watching the cartoon network 24/7. I'll swear you'll be the "happiest" peep on earth.

Yea, but they always end up crying and coming back for some reason for more misery. It is sad, losing someone to an addiction but then Tough Love usually says enough, an expectations or promises look bleaker an futile even for both.

Not much different than being ruled, expecting someone else to do it, and their way too. You can lead them to water but they will go for carrot stick, only to get beaten when they needed water.

Sure it not a guy…Jesus loves you, ya know!

I have had addictions in my life too. Lately I came upon the superfood cacao. Then there's the ceremonial version, ceremonial cacao. For me it benefits my emotional/relational life, it was said to open the heart. Peculiarly my life changes, I drink less coffee and I smoke less cigarettes.

The day He returns is a bad day for humanity.

By 'He,' do you refer to the return of Jesus Christ?

If so, you are partially correct. The epistle of Jude says:

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Sounds like a bad day to me!

But Esdras 15:1-4 says:

The Lord says, “Behold, speak in the ears of my people the words of the prophecy which I will put in your mouth, 2 and cause them to be written on paper; for they are trustworthy and true. 3 Do not fear the plots against you, and do not be troubled by the unbelief of those who oppose you. 4 For every unbeliever shall die in his unbelief.]”

(Emphasis mine.)

We all have the opportunity to get on the right side of things now. The person who tries to cast blame on God for perdition is like someone who is drowning and curses the lifeguard who has thrown him a float then jumped in the water after him.

The second Psalm is a powerful admonition:

Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6 “As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

7 I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”

10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

KISS THE SON!

ETA:

When God takes vengeance upon the ungodly, he will smite in such a manner as to make them feel his almightiness in every stroke. All his power shall be exercised in punishing and none in pitying. O, that every obstinate sinner would think of this, and consider his unmeasurable boldness in thinking himself able to grapple with Omnipotence! ~Stephen Charnock (1628-1680), English Puritan Presbyterian clergyman.
