All good things come to those who wait.

I knew the tallying up process would be a nightmare with 100+ stories.

I put together a spreadsheet just to count the number of writers and stories per category... no scores. I'm a sort of statistician and still made mistakes.

Hey Folks .. Are You Ready To Hear Who The Winners Are?

In case your getting frustrated, let me apologize for the time it's taking for us to go through all these 100+ Stories. As excited as we all are that Contest Records were broken, we were caught off guard and so it's taking us longer than thought.

Were shooting for having the 'official results' within a day or two (hopefully). Thanks for your Patience!

If you've not had the chance to read all of them, now would be the perfect opportunity to do and maybe add a post to the 'author' on how much you appreciate their contribution to the Contest.

You have all the time in the world, Johnny.

I'm just hoping to get a 'Diarrhea of the Keyboard' award for churning out so much pulp this time

Cheers

The unread story is not a story; it is little black marks on wood pulp. The reader, reading it, makes it live: a live thing, a story.

A massive thanks to zosimov and Compendium for their fantastic stories and for giving me a run for my money. Hats off to our new Writers KindraLabelle2 and TheAlleghenyGentleman - well deserved accolades. Plus, a Special Mention to all the contestants in both categories, plus the staff for their participation!!! I’ve enjoyed immensely all the stories the creatives of ATS have written.

Well, this is a first for me. Always a groomsman, never the groom… well I guess I got hitched today.

I’m overwhelmed that so many of you enjoyed it.

The irony is that I was really worried about the 100 word limit, but the story you most voted for is about half that amount. All the others I submitted were right on the limit. The length was dictated by the acrostic form of the story that turned it into a sort of poem, even if that wasn’t the intent.

Anyway, I’ll stop babbling on now. Just one last thing. I’ve held out posting the following picture until the end of the contest. It was intended to honour the winners (I honestly didn’t think I would win). However, I want to dedicate it to ALL the ATS members who participated, notwithstanding your placement… I photographed it a few weeks ago at a local train station. I thought it was a fitting tribute to these ATS contests, DTOM, Johnny and any other behind the scenes staff for organising them and to all those who had the guts to show their work…

Thanks again to all who took the time to read and vote! Take care everyone and carry-on writing…

Congrats to all the winners! 🎉
I must say in all my years as a member I have never seen a contest with so many entries. Almost brings a tear to my eye because at times there was so little interest in this forum that I thought it would fall by the wayside for good. So happy it's been brought back to life with flying colors!😊
