A bridge in the Frick Park area of Forbes ave in Pittsburgh has completely collapsed and the smell of natural gas is in the air.

Happened just earlier this morning.

John Fetterman
Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania is on scene. 10 minor injuries.

Good news is... it's only closed till 1:30pm

Also thankfully by coincidence Biden will be here in a very few short hours to talk about revitalizing green manufacturing and some talks of Infrastructure funding....

Allegheny County boasts 1,576 bridges that are 8 feet or more in length, and possibly the most famous of those structures are the three golden “Sister Bridges.” Owned by Allegheny County and located over the Allegheny River in the City of Pittsburgh, the bridges connect downtown and the North Shore.

Did the bridge PEACEFULLY collapse or was it an INSURRECTION?

I wonder if there was an earthquake in the area.
The smell of natural gas could be a burst pipe, or seismic stretch and the releasing of trapped gas under ground.
Land slides?

Sinkholes swollowing busses and now a bridge collapses. What's steel scrap up to these days? I seem to remember a bridge that was stolen near Elwood City a few years ago for scrap. I wouldn't put anything past the people in that neighborhood. I used to work in Point Breeze.

Looks like it collapsed worse than the Steelers in the playoffs.

More likely there was a gas line on that bridge. It's not uncommon.

Yesterday a bridge down the way had a main waterline burst from the cold.

To be fair, they did have to play the Chiefs.

I saw a post somewhere showing the underside rusting and almost broken over a year ago. Might have been on Twitter.

True, Roethlisbooger seems to have an issue with them as of late. Maybe if the Chiefs were women he could have beaten them since he's pretty good at that.

Yeah. I can't believe that I'm actually rooting for the Bengals.

I used to cross that bridge quite a lot when I worked for my old Company.
