This would be bad for all involved. One thing is to protest in the corner of your little town, but federal property? You might as well kiss goodbye to ever having a good job, owning a gun and who knows what else.

This summer we saw several city block seized by protesters including a police station and nobody was hung by the neck.

Wonder why?

Citizens in the capitol, amazing.

People in their building. Amazing indeed.

They have stormed the public building to tell the sold out bottom dwellers we are not going to stand their normal crap. They did not burn down Businesses and people’s homes. This is legitimate political speech. Maybe the only kind the smug a holes will understand.

At least from what I saw, the protestors were angry and screaming, but not threatening, when the Capitol police maced them. That's called "escalation" and it was done in a situation with the entire world watching.

They could have used "de-escalation" tactics, but chose not to.

Be honest with you, send some mace my way that I don't deserve, and all rules of politeness and peacefulness are erased.

Can't say as I blame the protestors now.

That is the last I can recall like this.

The ladies march 4 years ago?
But they didn't take the Capitol.

Agreed. I think Back the Blue might lose some support after today.

The DC cops weren't too backed up to begin with I don't think.

Since the people are technically supposed to be the ones in control of the government ...

Maybe I'm in the minority as a conservative... but if the GOP doesn't back Trump on election theft, they deserve everything that's coming to the party. The party will die off... They wont survive and they're too stupid to see it. Their egos are too big to understand that Trump is the party now, not them... they hold no weight without trump, so they are all diggin their own political graves..

Understand this "GOP" and "Conservative" are two completely different things.

If you think of the "GOP" as the Left, and the Democrats as the Far Left, then everything Congress has done in the last 20+ years makes perfect sense.

No real "conservative" would have signed any budget or legislation that's come through in that time. None of it has been "conservative"

Remember all the times that other countries made fun of the US for not rioting and using our guns to slaughter wholesale?

For a minute, there was people around the globe sweating it that the US was about to go full on.

And now people are there hanging out, making their voices heard by those that fail to represent the people but instead represent the party and the lobbyists bribing them with “donations”

That is why the US can have guns and so many other countries cannot. Because we use measured and appropriate response.

Shall I quote the politicians there stating "it is the house of the people"?
What to do when they show up?

Congressman Michael Waltz R says this isn't what America is all about. He's calling it violence.
