An armed population upset over a corrupt and totalitarian government is one way...

That would be a revolution. Not likely to happen, but more so than a civil war. imho.

So, If 78% of republicans and 30% of democrats think the election was rigged,

Where are you coming up with those numbers exactly?

Some of us have an internet connection and a brain and manage to use both at once.

Are you aware of what a search engine is?

/facepalm

More Democrats voiced trust in the election, 90% saying they thought the results were “free and fair”, up 52% from the pre-election poll.

Your math sucks.

The figures sound like Pew Research. They did a poll on this recently.

Well, lets see, based on precedent, the CIA likes to start civil wars using false flags so they can install puppet governments but that would never happen on home soil though, right?

lol.

If people come to my home trying to take my Constitutionally protected firearms from me that would be a step where things would really start to go wrong.

Her math is probably fine, but her bias is showing, which is fine! Everyone cherry picks the data source that they like..who knows what the truth anymore, from any perspective.

Wasn't my math sweety.

I just know how you NPC's are programmed and was saving time.

Input=A$
IF A$ < > [MSNBC, CNN, VOXX, Salon, Snopes]
Then Print "The Source is bad! Right-Wing shills! RRhhee!!!"
Otherwise skip to next post.

Y'all always attack the source unless your favorite media says it is true.

If it does then you merely go on to the next post.

Or you go to the next thread and ask the same question if the same information comes up.

Stop being spoon-fed info and look it up yourself.

I think the op is using this data :

Thirty-seven percent of Republican registered voters in the Sept. 21-22 survey said the 2020 election will probably be rigged, while 36 percent of Democratic voters said the same.

thehill.com...

The problem with this is that the poll was done before the election.

To be clear; 36% of democrats do not think that the election was fraudulent. They thought (before the election) that there could be fraud (from either side)

The thread is misleading.

Rasmussen is the most recent I think

You need to be a platinum member to see all the breakdowns and raw data unfortunately.

Forty-seven percent (47%) say it’s likely that Democrats stole votes or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to ensure that Biden would win, but 50% disagree. This includes 36% who say it’s Very Likely and 41% who consider it Not At All Likely.

Sixty-one percent (61%) of Republicans say it’s Very Likely the Democrats stole the election, but just as many Democrats (61%) say it’s Not At All Likely. Among unaffiliateds, 29% feel it’s a stolen election; 45% do not.

Maybe if a member here is platinum, they might pilfer for us the info lol. Or maybe it's all posted somewhere else someone can link to. I tried archive.is, but they only have the you need to pay page archived lol.

I'm weeks behind on ATS at this point & haven't been following the dialog here much.
Problem as I see it, is what is effective & productive. Sure, factions can melee in the streets - Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, NYC, DC, et al have already gone there. To no effect. What's the point of rioting in the streets?

The situation isn't going to change unless there's some big event like martial law - or more likely a really hard COVID lockdown for an extended period. Those things might spark a civil war of sorts. To what end?

Not seeing or hearing anyone identifying specific threats to neutralize or objectives to overcome for a directed purpose. Just a bunch of really pissed people without any direction.

The loss of civility starts a civil war.

Hillary from October 2018

www.cnn.com...

“Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that civility in America can only begin again if Democrats win back the House or Senate this fall.”

But hey, I’m sure it will be the Rights fault!

All it takes is one person to con people that they get some value in giving up their lives, and the lives of those around them, for vainglory.

It happens over, and over, and over again.

Nope. Convincing young men that their country loves them and is worth killing for.
Then treating them like filth when the dust settles.
To be fair, I am Aussie, so I know the fine American people (generally) treat their returned service (wo )men with a higher regard then I have experienced here.
Premise is the same regardless.

Technically speaking, when the civilian population takes up arms to either advance an idea to their benefit or in self-defense. Up until then, it is a coup or tyranny of the establishment.

In this case, it theoretically could be proven that no one actually voted for Joe. That every single Biden vote was fraudulent. That the defense of Biden’s win was all about CYA over the fraud, getting rid of Trump and his supporters and turning the US into a socialist #hole.

Or it could be (gasp) a legit win. But small town protests over how the election was handled could be called Biden Square Massacres depending on how strong armed the response to peaceful protests are.

Either of those will get you your civil war.

When folks say "Civil War" in the US ... I think that most are comparing our current situation with 1860-65.

The differences between then and now are substantial for a multitude of reasons: size of the territory invovled, relative power of each State in relation to the Federal Government, economic interdependence of red/blue states, etc.

What is possible and even likely are more expansive episodes of civil unrest which will be put down and increase the relative level of authoritarianism in the United States.

Which seems more and more to be the point of all this, anyway.
