When they say "disk" or "plate" they are talking of those shapes in a vertical position, like the other witness that said it was like the "wheel of a bicycle".

In other words, the Sun appeared not as a sphere but as a flat shape, like a vinyl disk with one face facing the witnesses. That's why it looked like the Sun, if it had looked like a disk seen from the side, like a "typical" UFO, people wouldn't call the Sun.

Not sure really though what you are saying, are you acknowledging something that appeared mechanical was seen in the sky or that for some atmospheric reason the sun looked strange ?

I would also urge you to take a look at the descriptions of the previous apparitions - many similarities to physical effects reported to accompany the more "typical" UFO sighting - and other "contactee" type encounters.

I'm not acknowledging anything, I was only pointing that, when people read "disk" they usually think about a typical flying saucer, seen from the side, but that's not what the witnesses said they saw.
If it was a physical disk seen from the top or bottom to appear as a flat circle or if it was something that made the Sun look like that only the witnesses could tell.

What about the dissimilarities? Those are more than the similarities.

Lets assume for the moment the Fatima Account is 100% Real

Each Month for a full year, in the same relative location the people saw a black sun or something like it

(weather someone had the ability to do that or not at that time)

Today, there's no middle ground, many people just need to die and stop living, very quickly so they don't begin a suicide campaign because that is their natural answer, and there is nothing that can prove otherwise. Today is the information age, the last generation, and the time of "peace, and long suffering". (daniels final 7 years or missing flight 370 marker in 2014 is another important association).

Essentially those people that saw the vision, "choose to die", in picking the wrong side, but that was the expected outcome. Today, the goal there's no real controversies, people will view them as choosing suffering even as the earth dies, and that is apart of the goal if they fall short, their end of days are spent in longsuffering, prayer, etc. if they don't choose to do "right" then, they have the "right" to suffer by their own hands, no necessarily a world war, it could be, but the situation will need to change by taking lives to offset that position. (many many lives).
