It is 2020 after all.

And this gives me the shivers.

Scientists revive 100-million year old deep sea life forms

Seriously? I believe we may have a death wish...

Yeah, I always wonder if something like this will become a threat--like an ELE threat--someday.

Interesting, link say dns could not be found

Edit must be a phone thing. Found it on my PC

Its worrisome that they're playing with fire.

It's terrifying. Those organisms no longer have a place in our present day ecosystems. If they got back out into the wild, they would be invasive species and could destroy so much of current life.

Edit: It appears your link isn't working or isn't valid.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Or is a good idea.

I hope I'm wrong about this, however as a collective society (political, social, scientific) we seem to be losing touch with something that's hard for me to identify, whether or it be morally, politically, religious or scientific.

The "neat" thing is that we're such a interconnected world with the internet that we can see it happening in near real time as information is uploaded. One wonders if perhaps in the past as a civilization stagnates and declines (people as opposed to technology) it was less visible to the population. Either way it seems like there's no throttle on our abilities to do things. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.

Of course, the dumbing down of the populace means that as a population, nobody is going to do anything in the short term.

It's shortened bitly link. Just click on it and it should pop right up.

I just tried it...got the same message you did and then a minute later it came up fine. May have been a temporary CBS and or MSN glitch.

You can also try the non-shortened version here:

I agree.

Sooner or later something like this will bite us in the ass - big time.

I agree!

Jurassic Park in miniature, but possibly worse. How the hell do you control a microbe once it escapes? And this beastie has lived in deep sediment for 100 million years.

Tough sonuvabitch - n'est pas?

I mean, we've done a helluva job controlling the spread of COVID-19 so far...right?

smh

What are you doing with YEC trolling in this thread? If we put up a motor thread are you going to spam that as well? No ones talking about evolution or a creator
