Chief Justice John Roberts sides with liberal justices to block a Louisiana measure that critics say would have closed nearly every clinic in the state
READ: Supreme Court opinion blockin

Washington (CNN)Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the liberal justices on the Supreme Court on Monday to block a controversial Louisiana abortion law that critics said would have closed nearly every clinic in the state.

The 5-4 ruling is a win for supporters of abortion rights who argued that the law was not medically necessary and amounted to a veiled attempt to restrict abortion. The law barred doctors from performing the procedure unless they had admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

If you think CNN is not a valid news source, this thread ain't for you.

Seems the Conservative's plan to stack the deck in the SCOTUS is not exactly working as intended. LGBTQ, abortion, immigration...

Maybe one should vote on issues that effect the living, instead of taking people's rights away.

Or maybe there isn’t a big conservative conspiracy to "stack the deck" in the SCOTUS and the fear mongering from the left over these issues was unwarranted?

Hmmm...this doesn’t affect the living?
I don’t have a dog in the abortion fight, this country has bigger issues that the Left has flagrantly pissed on.
But the blatant hypocrisy of the Leftists looking the other way on millions and millions of abortions is and has always been very telling.

So what exactly is the undo burden that was so terrible?

It's refreshing to see that even the conservative judges still abide by the constitution.

No, you’re wrong. This is exactly why I wanted Moderate Conservatives picking the Supreme Court. They seem to have their own thoughts and brains vs a liberal who votes how they are told by their insane handlers.
If you think a Liberal would consider anything other than the Liberal agenda or what’s good for ALL Americans you are lying to yourself.

Can you say the same with the liberal judges?

It’s disgusting to see Leftists celebrate substandard post abortion care.
How about abortions performed in the alley behind Starbucks after grabbing your favorite garbage drink, maybe some 2 for 1 specials?

Kinda not mentioned as legal or not legal in the Constitution. According to the law suit (which is not a part of the Constitution) it should be states rights. But now states can't even do that.

Trump should use "overturn roe v wade" as a campaign promise. Let's see how that would work out.

Why?
He has no authority to do so.

Just like most politicians..
They make promises they can't keep.

Yes, even conservative women want a choice on how to make decisions with their own body.

Even if trump doesn't have the authority...overturning Roe v Wade will appear in the GOP mandate to determine "real conservatives" just like last time.

www.vox.com...

I hope they try! And go all in with the "baby killer" meme.

Even my Republican, Baptist, conservative 80 year old mother can see the Hippocracy in old men making medical decisions for women's bodies.

Roberts is a problem!

Do Thomas, Kavanaugh and Gorsuch need to have a pow wow or a huddle with Roberts.

I knew there was a problem with this guy, ever since Obamacare

They won't, not yet at least and I wouldn't be so confident either, despite the liberal medias perception that Trumps not doing good, he actually is, the real prospect of adding TWO(2) Additional SCOTUS judges would be a huge benefit in that respect.

Trump has narrowed down that list and his second term will be based off his own assessments and not advisor lead ones.

To be blunt, unless you stuck YOUR wang in it and fathered it, you ain't got skin in the fight. Ideological "skin" on behalf of crotches you DIDN'T stick it in and father the children of isn't skin. Unless you count the fore. And that kind of skin doesn't count.
